Let's take a look at how smart poles serve as an excellent example of digital twin application. Smart poles are high-tech lighting fixtures equipped with various sensors, cameras, communication devices, etc. By replicating the physical equipment and operation of a smart pole into the digital realm, we create a digital twin of this smart pole. In the digital twin, the virtual model of the smart pole can be updated in real-time, reflecting the actual status and operation of the smart pole. For example, it can collect data such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, etc., from the surrounding environment and transmit these data for analysis in the virtual model.
