“I actually thought the conversation about time compression by Ben was interesting. They're talking about 10x is the same as 2x and his whole point was if you're setting your timelines and your goals to conservatively you're probably going to continue to get conservative results.” - Jason Dyer If you want to learn more insights like this, come to our Executive Symposium on Aug 15 in Austin. Earlier today, MeccaTech was graced with an unforgettable session: the Tech Titans Talk. Our distinguished panel of Black Chief Information Officers, including Derrick Pledger MBA, PMP, CISSP, La'Naia J., John Russell, Niki Allen, Venice Goodwine, and Glasford Hall shared their remarkable stories of breaking molds, defying expectations, and leading with service and mission at the heart of their careers. They talked about resilience, curiosity and their views on leadership. Here are some of the points they made: 💡 Leadership requires you to maintain self-awareness and authenticity while also building and maintaining relationships with people who may be different from you. 💡 Mentors and sponsors are great, but no one knows you better than you. Be intentional and deliberate about your career. 💡 Never accept 'no' from someone who doesn't have the authority to tell you no - challenge and ask questions. 💡 Always bet on yourself. Today's discussion served not just as a celebration of what has been accomplished but as a beacon for what we can all achieve moving forward. Stay connected with the Howard University Center for Digital Business for more events that inspire, challenge, and unite us. A HUGE thank you to Maximus for making this event a reality, to our Howard University alum, Bryndan D. Moore for moderating, and to all of our amazing Tech Titans for spending their afternoon with us!
