At Rakuten, we are constantly stimulated to learn more and advance ourselves. I have a passion for learning and applying new knowledge to my daily activities. This month, Rakuten has launched a campaign to enhance our understanding of AI through PluralSight. I've already completed several courses, and it's incredible to see the advancements in AI. One of these courses is "Linux Troubleshooting Using AI," which covers topics such as: - Understanding GPT tokenization and creating your own ChatGPT instance using Azure. - Utilizing AI for debugging issues in Linux and other applications. - Integrating AI into the development process with Copilot. Additionally, this month saw the release of ChatGPT 4.0-o, which includes outstanding features such as real time translation, voice nuance and even interpretation of images and videos. as For nearly 10 years now, Microsoft's VS Code has been the dominant text editor among the developer community. It is compatible with GitHub and Azure, so you can depoly your code easily. a new open-source code editor named Zed was released a few weeks ago , built by Atom Editor team, which is very good competitor to VS Code. Zed is a new open-source code editor built in Rust. It is very fast and has a low memory footprint. It integrates with AI tools like GitHub, Copilot, and OpenAI. It has a built-in terminal and supports real-time collaboration. It is currently only available on Mac OS. it has some limitations, too such as the lack of extensibility and the fact that it is currently only available on Mac OS. #vscode #zed #ai #editor

Gentoo #Linux is banning #AI created content as contribution! 1) Copyright reasons. At the moment it is not clear who owns what or how a #LLM was ever trained. 2) Quality issues. The content often looks like "plausible BS". That is nice for assistance - but can't be trusted on. 3) Ethical reasons. A large maount of resources (CPUs, GPUs, Power, Engeneering, ...) is used to make this LLMs (with not that great benefit to mankind). https://lnkd.in/dmNCDHj4
