The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) is a generational opportunity to improve crumbling infrastructure with resilient and sustainable investment. Hot-dip galvanized steel is uniquely situated to provide longevity to ensure this generational investment will be enjoyed for generations to come. To that end, the American Galvanizers Association (AGA) has created an infrastructure focused website to showcase existing projects in markets supported by the BIL and by geographical location. The site also includes tools and resources specific to each market to assist specifiers with specifying, designing, inspection and understanding the performance in various exposure conditions. When a commercial, industrial or infrastructure project suffers from the effects of subsidence and starts sinking into the ground, finding a solution can be a costly and time-consuming task. In this blog we take a detailed look at what can cause subsidence to occur. The list is perhaps longer than you might expect and shows why subsidence, although relatively infrequent, can become a reality on projects for a variety of reasons. This is one of a series of blogs highlighting information contained within our comprehensive white paper ‘Treating subsidence problems for commercial and industrial buildings and transportation infrastructure with geopolymer solutions’. Check out the blog to learn more about subsidence and discover how you can get information and advice on how resin injection technology can treat any subsidence issues you may be experiencing on your project. https://lnkd.in/dxZdNCDX #subsidence #construction #engineering #infrastructure #geotechnical #groundengineering #civilengineering #buildingproblems #problemsolving #Mainmark
