A strong industry needs a strong space for collaboration. 💪 The World Refractory Association (WRA) provides a trusted platform where industry leaders exchange experiences and develop common approaches to shared challenges such as #safety or #sustaianbility. In a world where efficiency and innovation matter more than ever, collaboration is the key to progress. For over a decade, WRA has brought together 50+ companies across 5 continents, representing the businesses that supply refractories—the heat-resistant materials essential for steel, glass, and cement production. Without them, industries that shape our daily lives wouldn’t function. I’m proud to be part of this global network, where knowledge-sharing drives real impact. #Collaboration #Refractories #IndustryLeadership #WRA #ManufacturingInnovation https://lnkd.in/dG_6SFGQ

In 1896, a man courageous enough to dream about moving from point A to point B without a horse took a spin in his first hand-built automobile on the streets of Detroit, Michigan. This single instance arguably drove mankind forward. In 1975, an engineer from San Jose, California dreamt up a powerful processing tool with the ability to type and point onto an attached screen. This tool would later be coined by his visionary co-founder as “tools for the mind to advance mankind”. The personal computer arguably did the same thing as the automobile, if not more, in regard to pushing the human race to higher levels. American manufacturing and innovation have been the backbone of progress, driving society towards a better future. Today, as we face the challenges of a growing population and expanding industries, it is more crucial than ever to focus on advancements that promote sustainability and efficiency, particularly in the realm of water management. The circular water economy, which emphasizes the reuse and recycling of water resources, is a critical area where American ingenuity can make a significant impact. We at 4Earth Inc. are heavily focused on building a better future with an emphasis on the most precious resource on Earth: water. We are proudly designing and manufacturing our technology to do so right here in the United States of America 🇺🇲

It has been a fun year. Looking at our numbers - we went from the place that we called "foundational" to the place that is called "steady". Orders are coming in. Every day. Big orders for projects. Small orders for countertops and fireplaces. Our material is great, and while design aspect is very subjective, the performance of the material is not, and I have fabricators who would back me up on this. After selling hundreds and hundreds of slabs I think I had one (?) quality issue on one slab and even than I suspected the issue lies with transportation and storage. I had zero negative feedback. None. This makes me job a lot easier. It takes the stress away. Most of it anyway. We didn't have a single price increase since before I joined the company (I'm assuming last one was in the beginning of 2023?) and it will remain the same in 2025 or until further notice. We are expanding our territories. We are hiring more people (reach out to me for details) which is never a bad sign. My only negative take away from this year is that real estate market didn't exactly have the time of its life under the burden of high borrowing costs. As a result I saw a number of high-end Multi Family projects swapping specs last minute for cheaper and inferior products. I don't mind losing to my direct competitors on merit, I respect them, they have knowledgeable staff and comparable materials - this is what makes this game so much fun, what I don't like is "high-end" that cuts corners. But I guess difficult times call for difficult measures. Just remember that couple of years from now those "difficult times" will be viewed as a "good old days" and we'll start over again. Merry Christmas everyone!
As 2024 draws to a close, Philip Eeles, CEO of Laminam North America, shares a heartfelt thank you to the incredible employees, valued clients, and trusted partners who have made this year truly exceptional. Your hard work, collaboration, and passion have been the foundation of our success. Together, we've reached new milestones and continued to grow — but it's your dedication and trust that truly make the difference. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a bright, prosperous 2025!
