DSP | High-Speed Signal Chains | Versatile Digital Domain Expert | Deep Experience with ADEF/WI/ETM Systems
Here is a set of Responsibilities, I believe every Post-Si validation engineer would face one day or the other. The list is certainly not exhaustive nor exclusive to validation. Here we go: 1. Detecting design flaws, including those escaped functional errors that were uncaught during the previous stages of verification. 2. Testing and un-raveling various kinds of security vulnerabilities in the system. 3. Detection of electrical and reliability bugs. 4. Not the least, working with design/system teams to come up with solutions and/or workarounds. Posting it to trigger a discussion and I would welcome comments, corrections and insights. #soc #vlsi #silicondebug #engineeringmanagement #cgm #validation

I have a question for my fellow security practitioners in the OT/industrial/cyber physical/C&I space. Can anybody in this field really claim to be an “expert”? I come from a C&I engineering background, I’ve spent more than 20 years in cybersecurity in this field (the last few of them doing research completing my PhD). And to be honest with all of this I have only scratched the surface in most of the specialist areas. I see this unfortunate tendency with people (most of who have never worked in the engineering field) with 2-3 years’ experience calling themselves OT or even advanced OT experts. Is it possible to become a specialist in one specific field, for example asset/configuration management, in that time? Absolutely, but the term “expert” implies sufficient competency in most fields and for that you must understand technology (including 40 year old legacy systems) management, control and protection systems, industrial communication, risk identification and management, embedded and digital forensics, mitigation management, process instrumentation and electrical/switchgear operation. This does not even cover business management processes. I just cannot bring myself to believe a single person will have all these skills to an expert level after 5 years experience.

We hear it A LOT: “Yes, I am interested in the job, but don’t want to apply during the holidays because of x, y, and z.” Don’t have this mentality! If you are serious about landing a new role in the new year, don’t put off your job search until January. Hiring is a year round process and continuing your job search during the holiday season is good for a number of reasons: 1. Hiring processes can be long (depending on the company), so start early. 2. It’s an ideal time to network - send a card & suggest a coffee in the new year. 3. Less competition. Fewer applicants per posting = better odds for you. 4. Hiring managers may be motivated to fill headcount by year end. We have MANY roles to help fill between now and early 2024. Take a look at our openings for technicians below, and head to our website to see a comprehensive list of project management, sales, operations and engineering roles. https://lnkd.in/graB8V9p Atlanta, GA - BAS Technician Charleston, SC - Programming Technician Charleston, SC - BAS Technician Charlotte, NC - BAS Technician Cincinnati, OH - Technician Cleveland, OH - BAS Technician Columbia, SC - Programming Technician Columbus, OH - BAS Technician Greenville, SC - Programming Technician Los Angeles, CA - Technician Manassas, VA - Critical Facilities Controls Technician Miami, FL - BAS Technician Myrtle Beach, SC - Programming Technician Omaha, NE - Critical Facilities Controls Technician (contract) Portland, OR - Field Programmer / Specialist Portland, OR - Technician Raleigh, NC - BAS Technician Salt Lake City, UT - Technical Solutions Specialist San Diego, CA - Technician Seattle, WA - Service Technician Wilmington, NC - BAS Technician #buildingautomation #energymanagement #hvaccontrols #nowhiring #BAStechnician #jobsearch #Siemens #JohnsonControls #Tridium #Alerton #Trane #AutomatedLogic #DistechControls #ABB #DeltaControls #Honeywell #SchneiderElectric #KMCcontrols #ReliableControls #Niagara4
