💟This week, we have a warm interview with Sawant Samidha Satish, an aspiring female pilot with a 7-year background as a cabin crew member for an international airline. She has transitioned her dream from the cabin to the cockpit. ✈𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟕 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭? My time as a flight attendant gave me a deep appreciation for aviation and the complexities of flight. I wanted to be more involved in-flight operations and take on a greater responsibility, so this was a natural progression. ✈𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? My background as a cabin crew provided me with invaluable insights into passenger management and safety protocols. Also, as cabin crew, you work with a different set of crews every day, which means learning to adapt to a new environment every day. ✈𝐀𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐀𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞? BAA Training offers hands-on experience with modern technology and systems and a focus on real-world applications. Additionally, working closely with experienced aviation professionals and gaining insights into industry best practices can be especially valuable. Also, the facility is open 24 hours for students to study and practice, which I feel is a big plus. ✈𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐀𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? Transitioning from my initial CPL days, where it was all about manual controls, to experiencing A320’s automation and advanced avionics was exciting. However, the course is a steep learning curve and requires extensive training and mastering new skills. It’s extremely challenging but equally rewarding. ✈𝐎𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟏-𝟏𝟎, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐀𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦? Considering instructor expertise, modern training facility and the support and resources available from industry experts, I would rate BAA Training Vietnam a solid 10 and would recommend it to others. #typerating #a320 #b737ng #pilot #Pilotjob #aviation #aviationindustry #airbus

Best Qualities to Be an Awesome Airline Captain: Learning from the Best Becoming a captain isn’t just about getting to the left seat; it’s about developing qualities that inspire trust, confidence, and respect. I’ve been fortunate to fly with some incredible captains as a first officer, and here’s what I’ve learned from them. 1. Calm Under Pressure The best captains handle pressure with unwavering calm. In challenging situations, they prioritize safety by methodically working through issues and remaining focused. This approach reassures the crew and sets a strong example. 2. Leading by Example A great captain shows professionalism by being prepared, arriving early, and treating the crew with respect. Leadership in aviation is about setting high standards through actions, not just words. 3. Sound Decision-Making In-flight decisions require both speed and thoughtfulness. I’ve learned that good judgment involves making the right call after weighing all options, with safety as the priority. 4. Commitment to Mentorship I’ve flown with captains who genuinely invest in their first officers, offering feedback and creating a supportive environment. Their mentorship underscores the importance of helping each other grow in our careers. 5. Humility and Openness The best captains value input from everyone. Open communication in the cockpit fosters a team mentality, reminding me that learning is a lifelong journey, regardless of rank. 6. Passion for the Job Captains who love their work bring enthusiasm that’s contagious, reinforcing the excitement and purpose behind our roles as pilots. Learning and Growing Each flight as a first officer provides lessons that shape my journey toward becoming a captain. I’m grateful for the guidance and inspiration of these captains and am committed to adopting these qualities myself. #Aviation #AirlineCaptain #Leadership #PilotLife #AviationMentorship #ProfessionalGrowth #AviationSafety #InspirationInTheCockpit
