The new telescope, a PlaneWave Instruments DeltaRho 350 for the ATHOS Centro Astronómico La Palma has arrived and found its way onto the mount in the observatory. We are already looking forward to the first images with the telescope. This f/3 telescope with Cassegrain focus has only 1,050 mm focal length at 350 mm aperture for stunning results in widefield astrophotography.

partial multiverse radiation partial multiverse radiation means the astronomical theory that all the related, inclusive radiation of all multiverses of all time is fragmentary of total space, and this radiation is not the only radiation of total space, so the remaining radiation of all volumes of total space combines to be the total radiation

Dark Sky New Mexico is a global community hosting some of the world’s most prominent astrophotographers and astronomers. Featured Astro-Image of the Day: Asteroid 2023 WM26 was ‘discovered’ by PanSTARRS on November 18th, 2023. Recent data has shown it to be active and comet-like. It has been suggested that this one was previously detected as comet P/2011 NO1 Elenin. I suspect the MPC will announce something soon. My image was captured during bad seeing but it did look cometary. 2nd Generational Heir to Nikola Tesla, 1st to Drazen, World's leading authority on CTP Energy Science, C-domain Communication™, CTP (anti)gravitic & FTL propulsion. Architect of the Nth Industrial Revolution™
Many first hearing about CTPSci or the mere notion of CTP-related space travel to CTP interstellar or CTP intergalactic travel via proposed higher-tiered #CTPSpace passenger spaceliners (https://lnkd.in/eWKh2R7K) oft balk at the very idea such revolutionary advanced CTP space travel could be possible within our lifetime. Next-level innovation is possible and truly is the case if one's mind has a firm understanding of the CTPSci Principles and CTP processes involved to achieve such. It just comes down to #newengineering, #newscience, application, and ingenuity. #nextgen #nextgeneration #nextgenerationspacetravel #futurespacetravel #CTP
NGC 6744, dubbed Caldwell 101 and beautifully processed by Thomas Großschmidt, is a mesmerizing intermediate spiral galaxy nestled 30 million light-years away in Pavo (Peacock). Resembling a miniature Milky Way, it boasts fluffy arms and a stretched core, with NGC 6744A, its companion galaxy, bearing a striking resemblance to the Magellanic Clouds. The data used to produce this image originates from a collection of 9 image sets with nearly 140 hours of image data from our image set repository, Starbase, of galaxies used to process a few award-winning astrophotos. These image sets were acquired on our affiliate 12.5" f/9 Quasar Ritchey Chretien remote telescope (ATEO-3) located at Deep Sky Chile and are now available for download at a 40% Discount. https://lnkd.in/eKgsr_YN #astrophotography #astrophoto #astrographia #astrofotografie #astronomy #astro #insightobservatory #space #nightsky #telescope #universe #starrysky #nightphotography #cosmos #outerspace #skygemsremoteobservatories #starbase #deepskychile

Three new found worlds orbit the ultracool dwarf star TRAPPIST-1, a mere 40 light-years away. Their transits were first detected by the Belgian robotic TRAnsiting Planets and Planetesimals Small Telescope, TRAPPIST, at ESO's La Silla Observatory in Chile. The newly discovered exoplanets are all similar in size to Earth. Because they orbit very close to their faint, tiny star they could also have regions where surface temperatures allow for the presence of liquid water, a key ingredient for life. Their tantalizing proximity to Earth makes them prime candidates for future telescopic explorations of the atmospheres of these potentially habitable planets. All three worlds appear in this artist's vision, an imagined scene near the horizon of the system's outermost planet. Of course, the inner planet is transiting the dim, red, nearly Jupiter-sized parent star. Published originally on https://lnkd.in/dtBYV_ym / May 07, 2016

The Great Globular Cluster (M13) M13 is a globular star cluster located in the constellation Hercules, approximately 25,000 light-years away. It is one of the brightest and most prominent globular clusters in the northern hemisphere, containing over 100,000 stars. M13 is estimated to be around 12 billion years old, making it a relatively ancient cluster. It is a popular target for astronomers and astrophotographers due to its brightness, size, and stunning appearance. The cluster is also known for its high concentration of RR Lyrae variable stars, which are used as "cosmic clocks" to measure distances in the universe. This was an observation made by PACS e-Lab citizen astronomers with the Las Cumbres Observatory's 0.4m telescope with exposure time of 300 seconds for each of the Red, Blue and Green filters. The raw images were processed with Fits liberator and the Gimp software. Are Free this Saturday 13 April 2024? I am giving a talk at the Mount Burnett Observatory (15km down the road from here in Emerald see www.mbo.org.au for address). Starts at 7:30pm Title for talk “Space Junk Farming” Abstract: A behind the scenes insight into Space Situational Awareness (SSA). What is it? Why bother? What are the benefits? Located in Emerald Victoria just 15km from Mount Burnett is the Australian node for the global ASTRIA network of SSA telescopes. This unassuming observatory provides data used by commercial and government agencies for the hazard prediction and risk management of orbital space traffic both manned and unmanned.

Rings Around the Ring Nebula Image Credit: Hubble, Large Binocular Telescope, Subaru Telescope; Composition & Copyright: Robert Gendler The Ring Nebula (M57) is more complicated than it appears through a small telescope. The easily visible central ring is about one light-year across, but this remarkably deep exposure - a collaborative effort combining data from three different large telescopes - explores the looping filaments of glowing gas extending much farther from the nebula's central star. This composite image includes red light emitted by hydrogen as well as visible and infrared light. The Ring Nebula is an elongated planetary nebula, a type of nebula created when a Sun-like star evolves to throw off its outer atmosphere and become a white dwarf star. The Ring Nebula is about 2,500 light-years away toward the musical constellation Lyra. https://lnkd.in/d_S2sn8n

With reference to this observation https://lnkd.in/d6wBFDRv
Following one of the observations made by our Citizen Astronomer team on a double star system, it initially appeared to be a triple star system using the 0.4m LCO telescope. PACS e-Lab then reached out to one of our global partners, Dr. Nick Hardy in Belgium, who operates two large telescopes in Chile – a 1m and a 0.6m. We requested him to use his bigger telescopes to capture images of that system. Here is what he captured. Upon visualizing these images, it turns out that the system is indeed a double star system with an approximate separation of 3". #research #citizenscience #spaceexploration #webtelescope #astronomy #education #africa
