Superheroes at Work! 🌟 Our amazing Patient Navigator, Danielle A., from BAART Programs in Antioch and Richmond, CA had a fantastic time at the recent resource fair hosted by Monument Crisis Center in Concord, CA. Monument Crisis Center is a community-based non-profit family resource center for Central and East Contra Costa County, offering nutritious food, essential resources and referrals to help families and individuals become stable and secure. We were honored to be invited as one of their "superhero" partners, sharing information about our services and supporting the incredible community. 💜 #BAARTPrograms #CommunityEvent #CommunitySupport #AddictionRecovery

Sounds fun…
Our Houston Area volunteers teamed up with two of our Weatherford Walks charitable partners, Small Steps Nurturing Center and PTSD Foundation Of America, and dedicated their efforts to giving back to the local community! The One Weatherford Team had a fantastic experience as they rolled up their sleeves, cleaning up classrooms at Small Steps and assisting with garden maintenance at Camp Hope. A big thank you to our volunteers who participated in these events, and to our charitable partners for hosting us. We are looking forward to Weatherford Walks 2024! #OneWeatherford #WeatherfordWalks #Community #Volunteer #GivingBack

Supporting causes like United2Prevent is core to our CJB value of Stewardship.
This morning Jeana Beeland and Clinton Beeland, along with their adorable granddaughter, participated in the Run2Prevent 5K and 1 mile fun run. The event supports our Valdosta-based non-profit United2Prevent in their mission “to increase our community’s awareness, understanding, and knowledge of suicide so that people contemplating taking their own lives can be helped before they choose it as the solution to their suffering.” If you or someone you know could use their help, dial 988 for their Lifeline Chat. Be bold, take risks, make a commitment, identify a deadline, and get out of your prison. Dan Pallotta, author of Uncharitable, highlights the struggles with non-profits, the way we think, and how donors view overhead. We are put into a box, a prison, unable to escape because of the ideology created around non-profits. Huge thanks to The Abraham House for bringing Dan to our area to hear firsthand how we take action. Choose to be bold and dare to dream bigger. Become organized to better solve the problems within our community. We need to come together, collaborate, and become committed to taking action! #BeBOLD

Cove families created a beautiful quilt depicting their responses to the questions, "What will you take away from Cove?" and "What does Cove mean to you?" The quilt was then taken apart so each child could give a show and tell about their square, and the squares were given to the families as a keepsake. Aracelis, one of our Cove parents wrote, “[The Cove] provided a platform for open discussions about our loss, participation in grief-related events, and the opportunity to support and be present for others facing deep loss.” Messages such as this are the reason we continue to offer support to grieving families. If you are a Cove family, please feel free to reach out to ingrid@covect.org and let us know about your experience in our Family Program, Virtual Programs, or Camp Compassion. #nonprofit #ctnonprofit #griefsupport #griefawareness #bereavementsupport
