Most daycares require a full day's supply of diapers for children to attend. If parents don't have enough, they can't drop off their babies and go to work or school, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. Tap the link below to help Baby2Baby continue supporting families in need. bit.ly/GiveToBaby2Baby

Every child deserves to be loved, cared for and protected. But studies have shown that 1 in 10 children have experienced neglect. Neglect, the most prevalent form of child abuse, is the persistent failure to provide a child's basic needs. In many developing and underdeveloped countries, the primary driver of neglect is the lack of social protection, stemming from extreme and debilitating poverty. This pervasive issue is exacerbated by the harsh realities of grinding poverty, leaving precious children without access to fundamental care and support. ❗ This #NationalSiblingsDay, a reminder that there are 1.5 million children impacted by the unfair two-child limit - which is essentially a sibling tax. The help we get from the NHS, or the education system, doesn’t change because of the number of siblings we have. But for children facing poverty, the two-child limit means not getting the support they need. 📊 42% of children who have two or more siblings are living in poverty. The majority of families affected by this policy include at least one parent in work, or a parent who is disabled or a carer for another family member. Children in these families deserve to have the right level of support to meet their needs. Abolishing the unfair two-child limit would mean that younger siblings are given the same support as their brothers or sisters, and can go to class with full bellies and uniforms that fit. ✊ In this election year, all parties must commit to scrapping this cruel sibling tax. #AllKidsCount

❌The November homeless figures show nothing but inaction on family homelessness. 👶🏻 An extra 114 children living in emergency accommodation at a record high of 4,105. 👩👧👧A total of 2,000 families are living in homeless accommodation. #EndChildPoverty 🏠The obvious solution is build more homes & radically reform housing policy. 📑But in the interim where is the plan to ensure children growing up in homeless accommodation have access to: 🧑🏼💼A child support worker; 🛝 A safe place to play; ✏️A place to do homework; 🍲 Cooking facilities to ensure access to nutritious food. #EndChildPoverty

Millions of children in the U.K. take advantage of the FSM on offer for their infant child (when they do not need it because they cannot opt out), yet a hundred thousand children with SEND miss out because of lack of reasonable adjustments. It’s outrageous. It’s discriminatory and yet parent carers are shamed for asking for help… The real shame lies in the fact that this is happening when poverty is highest in children with families with disabilities, in families with unpaid carers and in families with solo parents. The cost-of-disability is also high and all children with disabilities are more likely to experience food poverty at school some point during their lives… Sources: UNICEF and John Rowntree Foundation

Every child deserves a chance to learn. Highlighting the plight and potential during #StreetChildrenDay. Street children are poor or homeless children who live on the streets of a city, town, or village. Homeless youth are often called street kids, and many often perceive the issue of street children as being exclusive to countries outside of the United States, yet the reality is starkly different. In America, street children face the same dire circumstances of vulnerability, homelessness, and neglect, hidden beneath the surface of the country's perceived wealth and stability. Factors like family instability, abuse, systemic poverty, etc., compel these children to navigate a precarious existence on the margins, devoid of the safety and basic rights many take for granted. Their resilience in the face of such adversity is a testament to their strength, but it also highlights the critical need for supportive interventions. Addressing this issue requires acknowledging its presence within our borders and committing to solutions that tackle the root causes, ensuring all children have access to the security and opportunities they deserve, which include classroom and educational equity. They need the tools to succeed and begin to break the cycle. #StreetChildrenDay #EducationForEveryChild #Hope #Back2SchoolAmerica
