Attvaran, an Assistive Technology (AT) startup accelerator, is a collaborative initiative by the UCL, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Global Disability Innovation Hub (#GDIHub)and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Attvaran’s mission is to empower early-stage innovators and entrepreneurs working on developing affordable assistive technologies for people with disabilities and the elderly in India and other parts of the world. It aims to augment start-up growth by bringing all actors of the AT ecosystem, including customers, experts with the lived experience of disability, business mentors, advisors, technical experts, and investors, to start-ups to address technical, social, market and business challenges. 🚀 IIT Madras Incubation Cell (IITMIC) continues to fuel India's deeptech startup ecosystem! In a recent feature with The Times Of India, our CEO, Dr. Tamaswati Ghosh, shares how IITMIC has become a powerhouse for deep-tech innovation, nurturing startups that are shaping the future of technology. Sharing insights into IITMIC's journey and the road ahead, she spoke about providing startups with holistic support – from fundraising and technology guidance to team building and commercialization expertise.
