We're thrilled to announce that the ground-breaking film producer, curator, writer and former Director of Edinburgh International Film Festival Lynda Myles is to receive the BAFTA Scotland Award for Outstanding Contribution to Film at a special event this August.   Myles made history in 1973 as the first woman ever to be appointed as a film festival director anywhere in the world. She went on to receive a BAFTA as a producer of The Commitments in 1992, and mentored a new generation of filmmakers as Head of Fiction at The National Film & Television School from 2004 to 2016. 📸 EIFF / Pako Mera

  • Lynda Myles dressed in a white top and black blazer stood in front of a black background with white geographic lines on it. Her blonde hair is slightly windswept and she has dark red lipstick on, looking down the camera.
