Are you struggling to find qualified applicants for your job posting? Don't blame it on the job market just yet. Consider the information you’re including in your job description. Does your job description: • Highlight the benefits and opportunities that come with the job? • Communicate the characteristics of an ideal employee? • Describe the promises you’re making to employees? • Include information about opportunities for training and advancement? • Talk about the problem your company solves for customers and how that forms the basis of a fulfilling mission? •Make it the right level of easy for candidates to apply? • Describe your hiring process (including what happens after they apply)? Don't miss out on recruiting the best talent just because your job listing needs some tweaks. Need help (re)writing your job description? “Early bird gets the worm.” Having said that, after reading countless blogs and watching endless video content, I’ve come to the conclusion that many recommend not applying for job postings that have been up for more than a week. The advice suggests that these positions are often already in the hiring process or that your resume might not even reach the employer, making it a dead end. Instead, focus on applying to job postings that have been out for a week or less.
