Abu Dhabi's Al Seer Marine, part of International Holding Company (IHC), has added two new MR tankers, M.T. Saiph and her sister ship, to its fleet. Built by K Shipbuilding in South Korea, the tankers feature Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems and are equipped to use alternative fuels like LNG, ammonia, and methanol. Securing five-year charters with Reliance Industries, the vessels bolster Al Seer Marine’s strategic expansion in the maritime sector. Good evening dears, 6th part of the article: High Cost: The fact that many maritime transport companies change the route of their ships to the Cape of Good Hope route means an increase in the cost of the trip, due to increased fuel consumption, in addition to other factors such as labor cost. For example: The maritime journey from the port of Ras Tanura / Saudi Arabia to the port of Rotterdam / the Netherlands via the Red Sea Road / Suez Canal takes about 17 days and 6,436 nautical miles. While the sea trip via the Cape of Good Hope takes about 31 days and 11,169 nautical miles.   The above shows that the Red Sea/Suez Canal route is shorter than the Cape of Good Hope route which leads to a significant increase in cost.   Thanks and to be continued.

United International Transportation Company (Budget Saudi), a Fortune 500 Arabia, has approved the Board of Directors' recommendation to increase the company's capital by issuing new shares for the purpose of acquiring all shares of Jazeera Equipment Limited Company (Autoworld). In a statement on the Saudi stock exchange, the company said that the percentage increase in capital is 9.84%, bringing the capital after the increase to approximately SAR 781.67 million, equivalent to approximately 78.17 million shares. The total amount of the increase is SAR 70 million (USD 18.66 million) for 7 million shares. Budget Saudi is ranked 356th among the companies listed on the Fortune 500 Arabia list for 2023, which includes the 500 largest companies in the Arab region and North Africa in terms of annual revenue.
