When I acquired Glossy PR, it was a way to protect my digital advertising agency against another potential pandemic or other crazy challenge going on in the world that was out of my control! It was a way to offer our existing clients more services and to cross-sell amongst our group and reduce churn. However, I learned something VERY quickly... PR wasn't the vanity play that I thought it was, it was actually a HUGE CRO play! My language changed from, "We get our clients in magazines and newspapers, like Vogue and The Independent" to "By getting our clients coverage in the likes of Vogue and The Independent, our clients convert more by leveraging their credibility and turns browsers into buyers. When you see a brand in Vogue, the customer knows that what they're buying is legit, and subconsciously helps convert." I won't bore you (today at least) with all the organic benefits and huge SEO advantages, but remember this, running ads will ultimately put more eyes on your product, and drive more traffic to your website... But when that traffic lands there, you want to have every tool in your arsenal to convert it! 📈
