🌟 As we wrap up another remarkable year at Bailey, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some incredible achievements that have shaped 2024. We've strengthened our leadership team by welcoming Paul Martin as Managing Director of Bailey Total Building Envelope, bringing fresh vision and expertise to guide us forward. One of our proudest moments was completing our work on the magnificent Everton Football Club Stadium—a testament to our commitment to excellence in architectural metalwork. Innovation has been at the heart of our Flat Roofing division this year, with the successful launch of two game-changing products: Bailey Sure-Coat Flexible Polymer Liquid and Bailey System 5000 FR SA Capsheet. We're particularly proud to have supplied over 320,000m² of flat roofing solutions across the UK! 🏢 Our commitment to education shone through as we exhibited at The Schools & Academies Show in May, and we've invested in developing future talent through our new training academy for Flat Roofing. Our Bailey family grew stronger, with 5 brilliant minds joining our ranks, each bringing unique talents to our team. Together, we've manufactured an impressive 42,000 m2 of architectural façade product, demonstrating our continued position as an industry leader. We're also delighted to have joined the Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA), further cementing our place at the forefront of our industry. As we pause for a well-earned break, we're already excited about what 2025 holds—especially as we celebrate our golden anniversary! 50 years of innovation, quality, and trusted partnerships is something truly special. Thank you to our amazing team, valued clients, and partners for being part of our journey. Here's to a restful break and an exciting 2025 together! 💫 #Bailey #Construction #Architecture #BuildingEnvelope #Innovation #UKConstruction #ConstructionIndustry #StrongerTogether #50Years #FlatRoofing

Homebuilding in the US has been stuck in the horse and buggy mode - on-site stick building with wood in the same way for many decades. We are changing that with Griham Living’s Homebuilding 2.0 approach to building ADUs(our 1st product). We deploy a fully automated build process from design to offsite fabrication using cold formed steel while leveraging a global supply chain to source material at the best prices. Cold formed steel is fire resistant, does not mold and is dimensionally stable- it insures for less, is sustainable and lasts longer. We are making a small stride towards more affordable and sustainable housing development at a time when interest rates, land prices, and construction costs are at all-time highs. www.grihamliving.com #homebuilding #adu #realestateinvesting #housingshortage #buildingtechnology #innovation #affordablehousing

In my view, accelerating the building 🏠 process, enhancing quality assurance, boosting energy efficiency 📈 in structures, and ensuring greater alignment between design 📐and final product are merely a few benefits commonly linked to Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). With building elements produced and assembled to varying degrees in controlled factory 🏭 settings, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) are gaining traction for project delivery across the UK 🇬🇧 and Globally 🌍for affordable housing. From an architect's perspective, what are the key benefits of this approach? The Sano M-Dock system showcases several advantages that enable architects to leverage its digitally-driven platform for the provision of affordable housing. - Encourages strategic-level thinking 🤔 - Facilitates a more cohesive process from design through to construction - Promotes thoughtful consideration of the supply chain and components - Allows for regular factory visits to observe the assembly of designs - Enables architects to apply their training to ensure the end-user's experience is prioritised in home design The common myth is that MMC diminishes the architects role; rather, it challenges them to thrive within constraints, showcasing their ability to devise innovative solutions 💪. As the hallways of the NeoCon are again bustling, its important to remember that we all play a roll in the performance of a buildings materials. I start off every class with the statement " Flooring is not designed, engineered or manufactured to fail, however, we often fail the flooring by either putting it in an impossible situation or having inadequate maintenance.... "The Ramifications of Specifications". Here is an article I wrote with Stanley Hulin a few years ago!

It’s always good to learn from case studies - what another did to solve a problem and WHAT IF conditions were different? Would the design need to change? This will be a good presentation to learn some of the basics of low-slope roofing, with a new twist.
Join Andrea Wagner Watts and Kristin Westover on August 22 at 3 pm ET for a free webinar on Low-Slope Roofing 101. Have you ever wondered What If? when it comes to roofing design decisions? Attend this webinar to review four roofing case studies to gain a better understanding of best practices and alternate design possibilities in low-slope roof system design.
