One perspective could be to look at ways to reduce the size of batteries. I believe that size is driven by the requirement to power increasingly heavier BEVs, deliver comparable performance to the combustion engine and to minimise the time spent charging. I’ve always wondered if there would be a way to put NFC charging in public roads? A constant trickle feed of charge could increase the range of smaller batteries and enable OEMs and battery manufacturers to produce more battery units for the same pool of scarce resource?

Has anyone wondered how these batteries are recycled. Actually recycling them is highly energy inefficient, where do they end up. Landfills.
