Underground utilities surveys are one of the aspects of surveying that should be carried out well before any work begins on site. Knowing where underground utilities exist ensures your business is compliant with statutory requirements, not just at ground level but also in the subsoil and beyond. Having just returned from UKREiiF, this post is timely as I have been discussing surveys for constraints reports with a number of clients. The more certainty that can be created within the design phase, the more certainty of costs and hitting deadlines at build stage. If you know all your obstacles and barriers to development before you start and give yourself the time to design them out or mitigate them in some form, you're on to a winner. That's how we can help, we give you surveys with the data on that highlights where the issues are on your site, allowing you to make the right decisions. Simple really. #designconstraints #siteconstraints #construction #civilengineering #architecture
Before starting any construction project, it's crucial to identify site constraints. Our latest article highlights the importance of comprehensive surveys for guidance reports. These surveys map out risks like underground utilities, drainage, existing structures, and topography, helping design teams mitigate hazards and plan efficiently. 🔍 Learn more about how constraints surveys can benefit your project: https://lnkd.in/ebq_dh76 📞 01928 734473 📩 surveyors@powersuk.com #PowersSurveying #ConstructionPlanning #SiteConstraints #SurveyReports #ProjectManagement #Architecture #CivilEngineering #Construction

#Top-down #construction #method. In most common construction methods, buildings with underground parts are built by the bottom-up method where sub-structure and super-structure floors are constructed sequentially from the lowest level of the basement to the top of the building. Though this conventional method, also called a bottom-up method, is simple in both design and construction, it is not feasible for projects with limited construction time or with site constraints (size of location, legal issues, etc). The Top-down construction method is the solution to these problems. By Ted Lawton Source: Engineering and Architecture
