Meet Rajeev Kondapalli. Rajeev shares his 25+ year story with us: "How Rajiv Bajaj and Bajaj Auto honoured an ordinary customer like me: Last week, Bajaj Auto Ltd launched Freedom, the world's first CNG motorcycle. This is the story of how I was invited to the launch. 25 years ago, I had joined my first job and was looking to buy my first vehicle. I had only 2 criteria - it had to be a Bajaj (I was, and still am a huge Bajaj fan) and it had to be a 4-stroke. I bought the Bajaj Caliber. I obviously did not foresee it then, but I ended up using the bike for 25 years. It has been my primary mode of travel all these years, had absolutely no issues with it, and it still gives a 60+ mileage. When I renewed the registration the second time in 2019, I decided that i will retire the bike in 2024. Till about a year back, I was sure my next vehicle would be an EV, but have now realized it is not suitable for me. It was then that I read about Bajaj's CNG bike. In May, I wrote to Rajiv Bajaj and Bajaj Auto Ltd mentioning all these and thanking everyone at the company for the great experience. I asked him to share, if possible, the likely launch timeline in my city. Rajiv responded, thanking me, and wrote "This is what we must work to achieve - a quality product & a happy customer". He said he was not yet sure of the launch timeline in my city but would try to arrange one for me immediately after the launch, and marked his colleague to take it forward. While the response itself was a big surprise, what all happened next was like a dream. I was told that a bike would be sent to my city for a test ride and if I liked it, they would work out on the modalities of the sale. A few days later I received a call saying that the launch date had been fixed and that Rajiv Bajaj wanted me to be invited for it. Everything was taken care of, and what an amazing hospitality. The story does not end here though. At the launch, after the Q&A session ended, Rajiv said he wanted to share a mail and read out my entire mail (even his team was surprised because he was supposed to meet me after the event). He then invited me onto the dais. After I spoke a bit, he narrated a story about Mother Teresa and Rahul Bajaj (an interesting story, will share it later). He said it was a company policy not to give a vehicle free, he would personally buy the bike and gift it to me. While who would not like a free bike, for me a gift from Rajiv Bajaj will be a memory for life. For a company that has sold millions of vehicles, to honour a customer who bought a bike 25 years ago is unimaginable for me. Hello Rajiv ji.....I have bought a Bajaj Pulsar 150 ES in Feb'2002 and am still using it after 22 years now. Till now the bike hasn't stopped anywhere while driving. I still get 50+ kms/hr mileage. I really love riding it even today.

Congratulations Team Bajaj on the world's first CNG motorcycle. Great story Rajeev. I was a big biker during my engineering college days at MIT manipal 1990 to 95. I had Kawasaki Bajaj 100 and enjoyed riding it for 4 yrs while on Campus. We were a gang of bikers and would go on long rides at night to nearby holiday spots Jog Falls, Coorg, Mangalore and Goa on long weekends. I clocked so many miles on my KB100 but there was never a bad breakdown ever. Then the most popular bikes on campus were the KB100 and the Yamaha RX100 and we would often have drag races on which was a better bike. We decorated our bikes with stickers of our favorite brands. I had a "Metallica" sticker on my license plate and BOSE sound system stickers across my bike. I wanted to bring my bike back to Mumbai after college, but my Dad did not want me to ride a bike in Mumbai as he felt bikers were not safe on the roads in Mumbai. That was the end of my biking adventures.😊

Very touching and inspiring story Rajeev. It was indeed very thoughtful of Rajiv and team Bajaj to recognise you and honour you in such a special manner. My first bike in 1991 was a KB 100. I fell in love with it and my entrepreneurial journey started on that splendid bike. The KBs of my name and the bike must have had a special bonding. For a bike to deliver 25 years of service and satisfaction to a customer is fantastic. A legendary company like Bajaj proved to deliver exceptional quality and built trust across generations. There are so many lessons in this story and we at OLYSTRA will do our best to deliver great quality products and to uphold the trust that our customers have had in us over three decades. Dear Bajaj Team, Pls try to implement my idea in your veh.. Kindly pls reach to my post which is shared on Linked In.. Tubeless Tyre - with Rubber Balls Inside as per Tyer inner Diameter..It may prevents the accidents or sudden uncontrol for Driver in 2 wheeler after sudden puncture. This will be safety for riders.. Regards

Wonderful gesture towards customers. This is how Bajaj has been all the way. Feeling proud to be associated with Bajaj Auto Ltd. in various ways since last 34 years. Like Mr. Rajiv Kondapalli I too have so much to share about Respected Rajiv Bajaj ji and entire Bajaj team. Their gesture is treasure of my life and my generations. There are millions of Bajaj customers who have grown up driving the trustworthy and reliable vehicles. My family owned a Bajaj Chetak for 25 years and a Kawasaki Bajaj 4S for 10 years. The memories of all the wonderful rides on the Bajaj vehicles are treasured by all of us. Kudos to the entire Bajaj team led by the charismatic Rajiv Bajaj.

Wonderful gesture from Mr Rajiv Bajaj,having said that the kind of leader he is he always break barriers and assumptions to make his organisation also a vibrant one with his leadership Being bajaj bike owner since 1988 it’s one of best experience initially with KB100 and then first gen pulsar 150 !
