Pharmacy Manager @ HomeTown Pharmacy | Pharmacy Operations | MTM | Medication adherence | Process improvement
It’s not even 9 am, and I’ve already had some great insight this morning. 😮 Part I: I’ve never had to review applications, select candidates for interviews, conduct the interviews, and select a candidate for hire before coming to HomeTown Pharmacy. What. A. Task. Especially without talent recruiters and/or AI. Part II: We have an open position for a part-time clerk (https://lnkd.in/gpiiM3un) and we have over 60 applications! Learning how to quickly weave through them is a task in itself. I’ve seen enough resumes now (and had enough coaching) to know that people need more encouragement and skill to let themselves shine on paper. ✨ Part III: We have two applicants that are regular patients. Based on their resumes, they probably wouldn’t have been my first picks. I’m open to interviewing them because of the connection and see how they do in an interview. Networking can make all the difference. 🤝 Conclusion: I have so much respect for talent recruiters, hiring managers, and the hard work put into hiring good people. Epilogue: If anyone needs help with their resume, I’m happy to review and offer guidance (free of charge)!

Founder @ Right Choice Resources | Sales Recruiting | 3x Top Sales Performer | 3x Inc. 5000 | #1 Salesperson Turned Sales Recruiter Finding "A" Talent
Client: We want to find a salesperson just like Jessica. Gregg: What was her background? Client: She was an accountant. 37 salespeople at this company. The #1 salesperson came from accounting. (and no, their product had nothing to do with accounting) The lesson? Find people with the right skills. Some of the best salespeople I've seen have come from the most non-traditional roles.... Accountants, lawyers, teachers, and I could go on and on. #sales #hiring #jobsearch #recruitment

Are you tired of applying for a job that sounds perfect, only to find out the duties are completely different? As a job seeker, it's very frustrating to see "customer service representative" in the job title, only to find out the role is more administrative or sales-based. Let's be honest, customer service, at least to me, and based on actual customer service jobs I've had, implies answering phones in a contact center environment. Unfortunately, some positions with this title are glorified sales positions. Some are administrative assistant roles. And still others with the title "customer service representative" are nothing more than counter cashier positions in an in-person retail environment. How utterly crazy and disingenuous. And you can't tell me "the definition has evolved to fit the demands of the marketplace, etc., etc.," In my opinion, companies are trying to 1) get one person to do the work of two people so they won't have to pay as much in salary and 2) trying to attract people to apply for a position who otherwise wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. It's time for companies to be more truthful when advertising for a job. Accurately and honestly match job titles with job duties and give job seekers the transparency and respect they deserve.

When I was 17, my mom told me to go get a job. She didn’t even let me drive to go find one! I walked almost 2 miles in a dress shirt, dress pants, and shoes to the nearest mall to find a job. Yes, there were hills. First stop: Macy’s. Got the job. But.. During the welcome video, the hiring manager says to me “wait, you’re 17? Sorry, we only hire 18 & up”. This news after applying in store, having an interview, setting up paperwork, and watching one of the worst “welcome to our family!” videos you could watch in 2006. Then I went to Sears. Hired on the spot (made sure they knew I was 17!). I worked there from 2006-2011. During that time: - I started as a cashier and led the store in number of customers signed up for our credit cards. - I was made Customer Pick Up Captain at 18 years old. I was told that they needed someone like me to lead that department to ensure products are brought out on time to customers. - A few months later I was brought back to cashiering as an “unofficial assistant cashier manager” because they “needed me to come back and right the ship at the registers”. - When the cashier manager was away, I was in charge of scheduling the other cashiers, dealing with customer problems, sitting in on meetings, and being the “fire extinguisher” when there was tension among the cashiers. Also during that time, I learned: - Patience - Excellent customer service - Punctuality - Empathy - Creativity - Public Speaking When I went into teaching, I found it so amazing how all the skills I learned in retail were so easily transferable to teaching. The multitude of personalities I met at the register prepared me for the multitude of personalities I’d teach in the classroom. My willingness to do whatever it took to make sure the “customer is always right” allowed me the skills to do whatever it took to make sure my students were happy. As I attempt to transition from teaching, I hope to show companies that although I don’t have recent sales experience, my experience from those 6 years still resonates with me today.

A digital marketing expert with over 10 years of experience. Performance marketing and lead generation in Google Ads, and Meta Ads.
Continue with my introduction. I started working part-time at the age of 15 and managed to work in various fields: bread slicer at a bakery, courier, waiter, gas station operator, shoe salesman, painter, photographer, mobile phone salesman, system administrator, computer repair engineer, and many more – so many that I can't even remember them all. 😊 In 95% of cases, I worked for 1 to 3 months and then quit. But my first serious passion, which became a source of income, began when I started repairing and servicing computers. Around the age of 17, I began studying computers, fixing and upgrading them. 💻 I printed advertising flyers on my computer and posted them in elevators, put them in mailboxes, handed them out at the subway, placed ads in newspapers, and published them on websites. In 2007-2008, I could earn up to 2000 UAH per month (around $400) – this was my first job where my income depended solely on me. It was an important lesson: do what you love, do it well, and the results will come. 🚀 Later, I moved to another city and decided to stop doing repairs. But calls from clients continued for another 7 years after that. 😅 Stay tuned for the next posts – in the next publication, I'll tell you how I became a marketer. #personalstory #mypath #work #firstexperiences #success #marketing #motivation #lifehistory #professionalgrowth

Broomers Algorithm : ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have to hire Professional Rag Pickers on a contract basis and not Municipality Broomers on a salaried basis. We have to give them a fat pay cheque as it is one of the most filthy jobs. Because of its filthy nature, there are not many contenders and hence we have to offer them a hefty remuneration ( to keep the city clean ). We have to provide them with : + Good Food ( Fast Food ) + Ice Chilled Mineral Water + Clean Clothes ( Branded Uniforms ) + Capital Tools ( Brooms ) where Branded Uniform = Rin + Tide + Nirma + Ariel + Surf Excel + ..... etc. ( Corporate Sponsors for Additional Revenue ). Instead of spending 1 Crore on a 5-minute advertisement on TV, the FMCG companies may hire 10,000 Broomers at a salary of Rs 1000 only + Branded T-Shirts for a period of 1 Month. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pranav.Deotale

You're LinkedIn'ing Wrong! If you're hiring and your post on LinkedIn says: We're hiring, go to our website to find out more. I'm just throwing it out there, but that's not a good candidate experience. I have to go to your website. To see if you're hiring my skillset. In my location. More often than not, the answer is no. Just by sheer statistics. Give a little bit of info. You might be hiring for a LOT of things. Pick a couple! Are you an Accounting/Finance professional looking for a stable company to work for? No? That's okay! We're also hiring skilled warehouse workers. If you're in DFW and either of these sounds like you, go to our website to apply! Your candidates will thank me. The ones that aren't, and are in DFW, that would have gone to your website when all you said was "are you looking," very likely will still go to your website to see if you're hiring their skillset also. So not only will your candidates thank me, but you probably will too as you will likely get a few solid candidates apply that wouldn't when you just said, "Are you looking? Go to our website." #RaiseTheRoose
