𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 What do you do when you don't have the manufacturer’s torque values at hand when installing window brackets to steel? Ignoring these torque values might seem harmless, but it poses significant risks. Over-tightening, especially with the cone point, can damage the bracket and prevent it from sitting flush against the steel surface. Did you know that torque values for window brackets are often lower than expected? For instance, the MX window bracket recommends just a 10Nm torque setting for the cone point screw. Here’s how to ensure proper installation: 🔹 Use beam clamps in pairs, one on each side of the beam, to maintain a parallel connection and achieve the desired load rating. 🔹 Ensure the channel extends beyond the beam clamp by at least 75mm. 🔹 Position the beam clamps close to the steel flanges for optimal support. 🔹 Finally, adhere strictly to the manufacturer’s recommended torque values when tightening bolts or nuts. For safer and more reliable installations, always follow these best practices. Your structures will thank you for it!

There ya have it folks... It's safe to say that choosing subpar rigging equipment is like shackling your employees to an unsafe work environment. The best way to keep your people safe is to pick equipment and products from a reputable manufacturer that actually cares about the safety of those using the product. Look for high-grade steel and always ask which mill the steel comes from so you know exactly which material was used. ✔️ Closed-die Forging: This is essential for superior grain flow in the steel which gives accurate dimensions and consistent performance, plus I personally love the raised lettering for easy reading of critical safety information like the Working Load Limit (WLL). 🔥 Heat Treat: This is where the magic happens! By heating, quenching, and then heating a second time, the shackle becomes tough to resist fracture and ultimately gets its ductility and other important performance criteria. SPRING LOADED PLUNGERS FROM KNARR Group Knarr offer seven variants of spring loaded plungers for different applications.
