Day #4 of National Roofing Contractors Association, #RoofingWeek! Today is all about #employeetraining! Here at TORC we take safety and safety retraining very seriously. Every year we shut down production and we do entire safety retraining for all our roofers and field employees! One of the main objectives for that day is inspecting all safety equipment. There is a very detailed process we use to ensure our roofers’ safety equipment is in supreme condition. If even one part is questionable, the equipment is notated as failed, and that roofer will receive brand new equipment. Back in 2016 I was the only lady in my class. This is a class where I learned a lot from the guys. From digging trenches to doing drain installations. These guys empowered me so much at The Plumbing Academy. There the Soweto area was our classroom. We would go out to fix all plumbing systems, Fittings and fixtures. Hands on experience with young minds hopeful for our futures. This place and people gave me the chance to actually work on the pipes and valve. An opportunity of a lifetime. When you are on the job training never go there thinking that you studied your textbooks and you know what your lectures taught you. HUMBLE YOURSELF to be taught by others who may know more about things than you. Total: roughly 6K This site audit presents the true scope needed to address the damages. How much is missing? This is why training is important. Because this is a commercial property that needs to get back in business asap, they have the reserve capital to get the job done. Most policyholders do not have that luxury. Claims professionals need to think beyond the direct damage, and without training, the blinders stay on.
