We're excited to officially launch Minehead's Climate Adaptation Plan! 🎉 In a unique collaboration with the Minehead and Coast Development Trust, and working together with local residents, community groups and councillors, four key themes have been identified for how Minehead should adapt to the changing climate: 🌳 Improving and increasing green spaces 🌊 Reducing flooding risks 🙌 Encouraging community-driven climate action 🛠️ Promoting sustainable development Adapting to these changes is essential to reduce the impacts on buildings, green spaces and the daily life of Minehead’s residents. 🌲🌳☀️ Fridays are for sunshine, springtime, and making a positive impact on our planet with the amazing Skeleton Technologies team! Today, a group of #Skeletonians traveled to the beautiful #MallavereForest, just an hour from Tallinn, to plant trees and contribute to a greener future. This initiative, organized by RMK (State Forest Management Centre), aligns perfectly with our mission to achieve #NetZeroGoals. Planting trees is a simple, but powerful way to combat climate change and preserve our forests for generations to come. Did you know that while there are over three trillion trees on Earth, around ten billion are destroyed annually? At the start of 2024, we set out to extend our engagement with Tree-Nation in an effort to create a greener future for all. While these steps may have a relatively small impact, we believe that every tree we plant can make a difference. 🌍     Here’s how we’re contributing to Tree Nation’s global reforestation programme:    🌳 We plant a tree for every invoice we issue.  🌳 Every month, we plant trees for our employees.  🌳 We participate in Tree Nation campaigns, such as #GreenFriday.  🌳 We maintain a NetZero website.  🎄 At #Christmas, we gifted ten trees to each of our customers.    For every planted tree, we:    🌱 Combat climate change  🦋 Support biodiversity  🤝 Improve livelihoods and communities    To date, we’ve planted 2,701trees and captured 615.76 tonnes of CO2. Reforestation has been one of myCharity's most popular causes to support since our launch almost two years ago. And it's pretty clear why: - It's important work to support with the ever-growing awareness of climate change and what forests can do to help prevent it - Trees are quantifiable. We've planted trees for $2.70 and $.60 around the globe. - The photos, videos, and everything our partners provide. We can see the before and after pretty easily.
