How does artificial intelligence visualize your scent memory? I recently participated in the "Data Dreams" immersive digital art exhibition in London, showcasing my new work that digitalizes scent memories in collaboration with artificial intelligence. In an attempt to bridge sensory experiences with digital art, I integrated Stable Diffusion into Touchdesigner, enabling real-time control of AI-generated visual content through scent memory prompts. This allows participants to input their scent-triggered memories in natural language, witnessing the digitalization and storage of these memories in a virtual world. The following video features segments on the digitalization of floral scent memories, extracted from the VI-SCENT.Lab_Data Dreams series. I'm currently developing an interactive system capable of translating natural language into prompts directly through sound, aiming for its implementation in the next exhibition. This will enable people to visualize their scent memories through real-time voice inputs. Unlike other digital resurrections, this experience uniquely integrates Dalí's voice via a Lobster Telephone, an emblematic Surrealist object, enhancing the authenticity and whimsy of the interaction. The installation does not feature a visual avatar but focuses on voice interaction, with closed captioning for accessibility, adding an intimate layer to the visitor experience. This choice underlines a more personal connection with the artist, allowing his thoughts and humour to resonate directly with the audience.
