🌕 Golf on the Moon: A Swing That Made History 🏌️♂️🚀 On February 6, 1971, astronaut Alan Shepard became the first (and only) person to play golf on the Moon. Armed with a makeshift 6-iron, he took two historic swings, sending a golf ball soaring into the lunar distance. In the absence of gravity as we know it, Shepard’s ball travelled far—likely the longest golf shot in human history! This iconic moment reminds us of the universal appeal of golf. It’s a sport of precision, creativity, and adventure—qualities that resonate even on the lunar surface. Shepard’s stunt wasn’t just a bit of fun; it was a celebration of human ingenuity, a demonstration that even in the most uncharted territory, we bring with us the things that define us. As a golf professional, I find this story inspiring. It challenges us to think beyond limits, to imagine what’s possible when we innovate and dare to dream big. It’s also a humbling reminder that whether on Earth or the Moon, golf is a game of small moments—of connection, reflection, and joy. So here’s a question for my fellow golfers and dreamers: If you could take a golf shot anywhere in the universe, where would it be—and why? Let’s keep swinging for the stars. ✨ #GolfOnTheMoon #Innovation #DreamBig #Golf #golfindustry #golfcourse

When I think about the most thrilling moments of my life, ballooning is right up there. So, I am very excited to share a new venture that I’ve been introduced to – Space Perspective. In a lifetime of ballooning adventures, this is the ultimate ballooning adventure. Space Perspective will launch Explorers from a ship, inside a huge capsule gently lifted upwards at around 12mph by a unique balloon. Over the course of a six-hour journey, Explorers will rise to an altitude of 100,000 feet – around three times higher than a Virgin Atlantic plane. From there, Explorers will enjoy spectacular panoramic views through enormous windows. I love adventure and trying things that haven’t been done before. I once achieved (with Per Lindstrand) world records for the first crossings of the Atlantic and the Pacific in a balloon. We also attempted on a number of occasions to fly around the world in a balloon. From flying the whole length of the Himalayas over the top of Mount Everest and K2 (not to mention a few close calls!), some of the most magnificent experiences of my life have happened on ballooning expeditions. When Space Perspective offered me the chance to co-pilot their inaugural crewed flight, it was irresistible. What’s more, we hope to launch from near Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, making it an even more magical experience. Plus, I will have the chance to dust the cobwebs off my old ballooning license in the months before the flight and get some magnificent test flights in. The Space Perspective team tell me how much of an inspiration our previous ballooning challenges have been to them – driving innovation forward and proving the appetite people have for adventure. In my personal capacity, I have taken a small stake in Space Perspective to support them on their journey continuing this legacy. Testing is continuing and Space Perspective’s inaugural flight is due to take off later next year, once the unmanned testing program has been completed. The spirit of adventure is alive and well. Onwards and upwards!

🌎After months of virtual interactions, I finally had the opportunity to reconnect with a group of our #Explorers in person—and it reminded me why I’m so passionate about our mission at Space Perspective.🌎 At Space Perspective, we’re driven by a simple yet profound goal: to share the life-changing experience of #spacetravel with as many people as possible. We believe that seeing Earth from space can transform how you view the world and your place within it. Thanks to our incredible partners at Mercedes-Maybach, we gave our Explorers a glimpse of that transformative experience during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. This event was about more than just #luxury —it was about building relationships and deepening connections over our shared passion for space travel and innovation. Our Explorers left with more than just memories; they left feeling even more connected to our mission and to each other! As we continue to grow, I’m committed to discovering new and creative ways to keep our Explorers engaged and excited about their upcoming journeys to the edge of space. It’s not just about when we’re going; it’s about the incredible people we’re bringing along for the ride! What’s next? Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come!✨ #SpacePerspective #Space #CustomerExperience #CustomerSuccess #CommunityBuilding #Innovation #ExperienceDesign

Navigating the world of lived experience engagement? Ever find yourself flying sideways, backwards and at tricky angles? "Because they have been around for so long dragonflies are often considered primitive, but ancient should not be interpreted as backward. Dragonflies can not only reach great speeds, they can fly sideways and backwards, hover and glide, and turn 90 degrees...They make our aircraft look primitive" https://lnkd.in/gcM2WvbD

Where does the name Jaguar Space come from? 🌌 The name Jaguar Space carries a profound meaning, linking our mission in space to our roots on Earth. 🌿🐆 The Great Jaguar of Guatemala The jaguar, an iconic symbol in Mayan culture, represents strength, vision, and the connection between the Earth and the heavens. In ancient Mayan cosmology, the jaguar was seen as a guardian of worlds and a fearless explorer of the unknown. 🌠 At Jaguar Space, we draw inspiration from this majestic creature to embody the same courage and exploratory spirit in our pursuit of space innovation. Just as the jaguar roams uncharted territories, we aim to expand humanity’s horizons in space. 🚀 Our name is not just a tribute to our Guatemalan heritage, but it is also a reminder that innovation can be deeply rooted in the history and culture. #JaguarSpace #Guatemala #ExplorationSpirit #SpaceInnovation #SpaceEconomy
