Sometimes a brand comes along and they just do it right!!! Checkout these guys, Dountellier, down Charing Cross Road, London Everything about it is spot on in what I look for in brand creation 1. Name - not a massive fan but it does the job of telling you what they do and with that artisan twist 2. Theatre - you see the people making the donuts and it looks fantastic and tempting 3. The attention to detail in the store - the lights, the display for the donuts, the furnishings, all standout and attractive 4. The packaging of the donuts, beautiful boxes well designed 5. The price - all of the above then allows these guys to sell donuts at £6.50, that is well above the market but you feel the value when you see the theatre the look and feel, you don't feel ripped off 6. You don't have to market - this place was heaving and everyone is pulling out their phones, taking pictures and videos, instagraming it etc. The brand has done all the work so you don't have to spend a penny on marketing That there is how a brand should be done. Yes, it is expensive to fit out and deliver but better to do something well than to do it half-arsed and piss that money down the drain #brandstrategy #dountellier #properbrand

TAG ALONG TUESDAY: Today I worked with a client who had boxes and clutter in her living room. Once we decluttered, I was able to see the space more clearly and we created zones for: 🚧 Dining (Table, Chairs) 🚧 Creating her social media videos (ringlight, props, items to unbox) 🚧 Crafting and repairs (materials, tools, items that are broken) 🚧 Displays (Cart with perfumes/room sprays, Area for her dolls) Now that we created zones we can determine if my client has the proper furniture and storage in the room to support some of these zones. Let's get NOT busy? 🤔 - - There are plenty examples of "busy" and "edgy" can designs in both the craft beers and premium soda categories. So when I saw United Sodas cans for the first time last week at McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop in Portsmouth, NH, it was a breath of fresh air (and space). These soda can colors really pop and with just a simple text design it makes those colors truly hero. I love this approach to standing out on the shelf. It says "Hey look at me, I'm the pop that pops! I look different and my simplicity allows me to look more high-end and artisanal." 🤗 Yes, sometimes less can be more.
