A Platform for Progress at Narrow Water Bridge Piling works have commenced at our Narrow Water Bridge site with help from a recently arrived marine piling platform. The project is a transformative link that will connect the Cooley Peninsula in Co. Louth and the Kingdom of Mourne in Co. Down and the northern and southern shores of Carlingford Lough for the first time. When completed, the bridge will: ✅ Provide access to the stunning natural beauty of Carlingford Lough ✅ Boost the region’s tourism and leisure potential ✅ Promote sustainable travel with pedestrian and cyclist-friendly infrastructure Over the next 8 weeks, 41 steel piles will be installed, a combination of permanent and temporary piles, with the temporary piles removed after the bridge is erected.
