𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, of diverse ages, regions and qualifications is that they all have stories of struggle. Perhaps, acknowledging our struggles doesn't diminish our professionalism or competency as a therapist. Rather it enriches our Person of The Therapist and just makes us more human, something that comes in handy when dealing with and treating other humans! Its about time we foster a culture that celebrates the person behind the therapist and stories beyond the therapy rooms. #therapy #psychology #counseling #insights #mentalhealth

This is a good learning point for me. I recently just started taking up counselling cases and realised that my expectations for counselling and how counselling actually is, is very different. I learnt that my own personal feelings and beliefs can really affect my relationship and dynamic with my client. It is really important to understand your own feelings towards the situation and ensure you don’t transfer it to your client. Setting aside my own opinions and views to understand them without judgement was something difficult but essential to do. Hoping to make some meaningful progress with my client and learn how to improve along the way.
Working with clients who may not always align with the therapy process can be challenging, but it's an opportunity to grow as a therapist. It's important to remain patient and flexible, adapting your methods to meet the clients where they are. Empathy plays a crucial role in understanding their resistance without judgment. Building trust is key, as it fosters a safe space for them to engage more openly. With time and the right approach, even challenging clients can make meaningful progress. #TherapyInsights #ClientCare #TherapistTips #ResistantClient #DifficultClient #ClinicalPsychology #CounselingPsychology #HealthCare #tips #Coping #psychology #Therapy #therapist #counseling #MentalHealth #MindMatters #Counselor

Number of clients you have is not a reflection of your capabilities and competence as a therapist. Meaningful progress and personal growth can be achieved by dedicating oneself to the well-being of just one client. Perhaps, it's more than okay to emphasize the depth and quality of the therapeutic relationship over sheer quantity! #therapy #mentalhealth #counseling #psychology #insights

#Trauma affects the mind in many ways, including how people think and feel about the future. When the world feels unsafe, unpredictable, and untrustworthy, you might think that there is little point in making plans for events that you don't expect to happen. If the future feels intangible, consider talking to a therapist. They can offer #help, #support, and #treatments that can help you change how you think and make plans to support your goals #fmf #MentalHealth #Psychology #trauma

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 (or at least they should!) As therapists, we can be objective and clear when helping our clients navigate their challenges. But when it comes to our own stuff? Well, that’s a whole different story! 😅 Therapists have therapists because once we’re emotionally involved, our objectivity often flies right out the window. It’s part of the human condition: the minute emotions get involved, subjectivity takes over, and that clear-headed objectivity we pride ourselves on becomes elusive. That’s why it’s so important to seek support and guidance, even as professionals. It’s a reminder that we’re all human, all navigating our own journeys, and sometimes, we all need a little help to see things clearly. 💖 🌟 #HumanCondition #EmotionalJourney #SeekSupport #Psychology #Therapist

A great therapist and coach will help you utilise your opportunities to success overcoming life's barriers, limitations, and injuries.
Good Therapist 📚 A good therapist is empathetic, non-judgmental, and able to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. They provide a safe space for clients to express themselves and work collaboratively to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. A good therapist also maintains professional boundaries, practices active listening, and tailors interventions to the unique needs of each client, fostering growth and emotional resilience.
