📗 The new Co-City case story analyzes the intricate institutional framework supporting the operations of the CLT, focusing on its public-private #Governance, #Economic and #SocialSharing, #Experimentation, and #Integration of #TechnologicalJustice. Governance begins with collaboration between the local government of San Juan and the Public Transportation Authority for a development project, involving residents. The CLT stands out for its tripartite governance ensuring representation of public, private, and community interests, promoting a sense of belonging and responsibility. The Martín Peña Channel Community Land Trust represents a testament to the transformative power of shard governance, community empowerment, and collaborative problem-solving, and is a pioneering model of public-private collaboration in urban land management. 💡 📖 https://lnkd.in/d_GHaGQs

With 86 percent of Cape Cod's land already either developed or protected, acquiring available land for affordable housing development or redevelopment can be difficult and slow. During the development of the Regional Housing Strategy, the Cape Cod Commission heard this concern from many towns and other stakeholders across the region. In response, key recommendations outlined in the Regional Housing Strategy include establishing a regional housing land bank and a community land trust that will work together to acquire and facilitate the development of affordable housing on Cape Cod. Have you been dreaming of buying or sharing your land with others to be able to live cooperatively in a micro-community? Or are you a community leader or place-maker that is looking for ways to help your rural community have more housing options? Usually the zoning of rural land doesn’t permit more than one or two dwellings. But, with the Cooperative Living Planning Rule, multiple houses can be built or moved onto a rural property without the large expense and time of subdivision. How does it work? Listen to the video to find out more. I believe this could be a game changer to allow for more affordable, connected, and resilient housing options in Aotearoa.

I can't keep up! What's really interesting here is the role 'suburban' authorities are playing in driving forward the economy of the Liverpool City Region. #StHelens, #Wirral and #Sefton in particular have wide-ranging regeneration and investment programmes in place that will have a huge impact in terms of job creation, GVA growth and - for the authorities - creation of rateable income for investment in public services. #regeneration
Another win for #StHelens as it was announced that Newton-le-Willows will receive up to £20 million to invest in communities and regeneration over the next ten years as part of the Long-Term Plan for Towns. More information when it becomes available but fantastic to be able to build on the work done to date to deliver #Parkside and #EarlestownTowncentre in this part of the Borough.
