CSR 🌍 🌱 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 🌍 🌱 At Fontarome, we believe that every action counts, and we all have a role to play in reducing our environmental impact. Energy savings (heating and lighting), selective sorting, reduction and recovery of waste, reuse or deposits, optimization of water consumption and reduction of the use plastic, are some of the actions implemented at Fontarome ♻. Actions rewarded by the Ecovadis Platinum title in March 2024. We are very proud of this recognition which challenge us for new environmental projects. Whether through collective or individual actions, we are all agents of change. Universidad Simón Bolívar (certified in the Zero Waste Management System with ICONTEC and Basura Cero Global / Global Zero Waste), as an ally of the "Sustainable Carnival" strategy, was part of the presentation made at the Casa de la Cultura "La Perla" by @Carnaval de Barranquilla S.A.S. with the support of the Alcaldía Distrital de Barranquilla, the Cámara de Comercio de Barranquilla and public and private sector entities of the city. - 54 Barranquilla Carnival folkloric groups and costumes benefited. - The objective of Carnaval Sostenible is to give a second use to recyclable materials. - For the first time, the banners used in the boxes on route 40 will be reintegrated into the circular economy cycle, thus helping to reduce waste and promote environmental sustainability. #ZeroWaste #CircularEconomy #BarranquillaCarnival https://lnkd.in/eUbNmBYd https://lnkd.in/eijEajSg

Summer is the perfect time to immerse yourself in nature, but it’s also a crucial opportunity to think about our environmental impact. We are proud to be partners of the #PlasticPull project by Piantando | Certified B Corp, an environmental initiative aimed at collecting and disposing of litter in the environment, with a particular focus on roads, parks, coasts, and seabeds across Italy. With over 150,000 kg of waste collected and more than 700 clean-ups organized, Plastic Pull is a concrete example of how we can actively contribute to protecting our planet. In 2023 alone, our team helped collect 1,000 kg of waste and involved 90 volunteers in six clean-up events. This year, we are excited to have participated in the #PlasticFreeSummer initiative, contributing to the collection of 3,000 kg of waste from beaches, parks, and other natural environments. We believe that every small action counts, and together we can make a difference for a greener and cleaner future. We hope that our efforts serve as an example for all outdoor enthusiasts, as well as other companies.
