Now that the whirlwind that was London Tech Week has subsided, I find myself drawing valuable insights from the event. It was a fusion of AI, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, all of which are integral to my work and the enterprises I'm involved in. The event was a bustling hub for three days straight, from 10th to 12th June. However, with all the engaging follow-up meetings, it extended into a full week, and a rather busy one. I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse interactions with my peers from the finance and investment sectors, startup founders, co-founders, and individuals from a wide array of backgrounds. The enriching panel discussions, keynote speeches, and roundtable talks provided fresh perspectives that are crucial in our rapidly changing tech landscape. However, the event was not without its hiccups. The wifi, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. Here's hoping the organizers can rectify this in the upcoming edition. Going forward, I am excited to continue the meaningful dialogues sparked at the event. I am eagerly anticipating my upcoming meetings with some of my connections during my visits to the Middle East and Far East, and at the Collision Conf, including with @Hans Larsen, Chikako Kondo, Mark Hedley's team, Jayne Chan, among others. Here's to pushing boundaries in tech and innovation! #Innovation #Funding #Startups #Investment #AngelInvestor #Technology #PropTech #LondonTechWeek

Interesting fact: Andy Warhol's exhibition primarily featured photographs—a technology that dramatically transformed the cultural landscape roughly 150 years ago. Contrary to the fears of that era, photography didn’t stifle creativity—it expanded it. Artists were no longer confined to merely replicating reality, allowing them to explore more abstract forms of art. This shift gave rise to what we now call contemporary art. Photography itself became a new art form, offering endless opportunities for experimentation. Fast forward to today, and we’re witnessing a similar transformation with artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality. As we move forward, it’s an exciting time to be part of the technological advancements shaping the cultural and creative industries. 🤖 🎨
One of the great things about building New Renaissance Ventures, with its focus on tech startups in the Cultural and Creative Industries, is the opportunity to co-host some very nice events. This was certainly the case last week with the "Junge Freunde der Neue Nationalgalerie" in Berlin, where we invited friends who share a passion for art, many with backgrounds in tech, media, and the creative industries. Together, we enjoyed an evening of wine, music, and a guided tour of the Andy Warhol exhibition, "Velvet Rage and Beauty," complete with curatorial insights from Nikola. I loved every moment of it! Thanks to Charlotte, Kai and team for making this idea a reality.

London Tech Week was amazing! Panels full of interesting insights on CyberSecurity and Ai, interactive technologies such as Miirage | Holographic Displays as well as seeing impactful pitches from the Rising Stars competitions. Novai's pitch showed me how passion and authenticity, paired with a calm yet impactful way of presenting with conviction can sometimes be more impactful than a loud voice in a room. Their founder had a very serene presence that matched the confidence when asked specifics in numbers and value proposition. It was great meeting new people and reconnecting with others. On the first day, I had interesting conversations regarding partnerships and innovation with Dima Mikhailov, Dmitriy Goncharov, Egor Savvin and Megan Daly-Tyrrell. I also had some food for thought on my business, MeiXter LTD from Carlos Eduardo Espinal MBE regarding Ai capabilities after his panel on 'Panel: Has AI Transformed the Efficiency for Startups?' Bumping into a familiar face and then talking venture capital with Stéphane Eboko and Peter Hopton, opened my eyes on possibilities to collaborate with other Founders. My reconnection with Tania Hoyos kindly led me to connects and joining Latinos in Tech-London and Latin representative in LTW where I met an inspiring group of people: Vladimir Guzman, Rogelio Sanchez, Edgar Lopez-Rojas, PhD, MBA, MSC, SW Eng, Rebeca Conejo. I also had the pleasure to learn more about Ladislao Cazes and the expertise South American companies are providing to great US and UK ventures, especially in the EdTech space, as well as UK support to start-ups from Ryan Short Lastly, I spoke to quite a few investors looking at investing on impact driven companies and the creation of a chain reaction for collaboration between founders. I am glad they see the value Founders can give to other Founders and how much impact those interactions can have. It was a great week with fruitful conversations and new connections that showed me how much I enjoy connecting others for collaboration. I would like to carry on being able to learn, collaborate with and assist others in the Tech space, so please feel free to reach out if you find synergies with my profile. #LTW #londontechweek #connections #collaborations #technology #entrepreneurship

Michigan Innovation Headquarters, or MI-HQ, has quietly grown a sizable footprint in the shared workspace model for startups for more than 20 years. After looking to expand into Detroit, MI-HQ plans to anchor Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock development at the former “fail jail” site on Gratiot Avenue in what will become the Life Sciences District on a proposed three-mile innovation corridor. Reporter Anna Fifelski got the full story on how all of this came to be and what's next. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gPc-UcnD
