It's interesting to see the different perspectives on housing and savings. I can appreciate the financial planning challenges discussed, especially the balance between short-term renting and long-term buying goals. The preference for both fixer-uppers and brand-new properties highlights the trend of personalized investments. This kind of content not only engages but also showcases Barclays' understanding of real financial issues.

Great care has to be taken when lending money as banks have to ensure their customer will pay it back. A handshake was all that was needed many decades ago and it was a matter of pride for the man to pay it back. Those days have gone unfortunately.

the real question is would a first time buyer choose a bank that simply when it wants to closes your accounts and then claims the customer must have done that...? Would any customer choose to enter into a contract with a firm that chooses to ignore the contract...? and then just makes it up as it goes along...? We've been in a dispute for 15 years, 10+ years of active hostile action against me and the last 2 Barclays refuses to answer my questions, after addmitting they lied. Now they claim the dispute is out of time... "According to Barclays if you lie for long enough it becomes a truth...!" Whould anyone choose a bank with this as it's mantra...? #CustomerExperience #LifeAtBarclays www.unlikelystory.co.uk/post/recap--catch-version-of-events

Always been very hard to buy a house. We had to have 4 years’ savings with the Halifax Building Society (confirming you could save) before they would even think about considering that they might allow you to borrow. Then strict interview to suss you out before having to accept that the wife’s earnings were taken, reluctantly, into consideration. House prices were, as today, huge compared to earnings. Stop moaning and save

Really an impressive survey that truly shows the 2 sides of the economy/people mindset about the real estate and most of them are youngsters like recently married and/or planning to , so almost they are first time home buyers so they have no idea about the real estate industry and most of them simply going with the Emotional decision making instead of Rational one and it's purely Behaviour Psychology what drives the world Economy.

#BarclaysOnTheStreet wonder if I'll ever get an answer... to my simple question...? #LifeAtBarclays #BarclaysEA24 #ThisIsMe www.unlikelystory.co.uk/post/recap--catch-version-of-events

Barclays you certainly don’t make it easy for people to buy property anyway. I tried to help my son buy a property recently using a JBSP product with an annual income more than the mortgage that he was needing yet you wouldn’t lend us a penny because I am a portfolio landlord with multiple mortgages!
