As we’re nearing the end of the year, are you taking the time to reflect on what you’ve done and what you want to do? I love using A Christmas Carol as a structure for my end of year retros! If you want to use the format: 💡The Ghost of Christmas Past: Reflect on your past year. What are the things you want to celebrate? What would you do differently? 🎁The Ghost of Christmas Present: Consider the present. What are you grateful for? What makes you happy? 🎉The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come: Think ahead: what would the perfect year look like for you? What do you want to be celebrating next year? Reflecting on all of these things means that you can go into the new year focused on the things that really matter to you. So, if you use this format? What are your Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come? Bonus points if you immediately watch The Muppet Christmas Carol* after this! * The best Christmas movie ever** ** I once got a pub quiz answer wrong for insisting Scrooge was visited by 5 spirits since I didn’t realise having two Marleys is only part of the Muppet version.

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! As we honor those who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country, it's also a perfect moment to reflect on our daily routines. Yes, habits can be incredibly beneficial—they streamline our lives, help us achieve our goals, and reduce stress. But, have you ever thought about the down side of being too habitual? On Memorial Day, when we step back to remember and reflect, it’s a good time to consider how our routines may be holding us back from truly engaging with the world around us. Think about it! When was the last time you took a spontaneous road trip or tried something out of your ordinary? Habits, while comforting, can sometimes keep us in a bubble, away from new experiences and opportunities. They can create a false sense of security and even stifle creativity. So, while I appreciate the structure habits bring me, I’ll use my day off to inspire me to break them. To honor those who’ve shown immense bravery by embracing a bit of that spirit myself. I’ll try something new, challenge my routines, and I might just find a fresh perspective waiting for me. Here’s to striking the perfect balance between cherished habits and new adventures! Cheers to a reflective and meaningful Memorial Day! 🇺🇸✨ #memorialday #honoringourheroes #USA #TheMorganConnection

As another year draws to a close, let’s take a moment to celebrate our achievements and look forward to some well-deserved rest. Making it through the year is achievement enough! Spare a thought for those who may not be as fortunate—those for whom work is their only refuge, and this break brings them to an unhappy or unsafe place. Think of those who have no one to come home to, for whatever reason, or those without the means to celebrate. In these challenging times, some may feel they have little to be grateful for. Take a moment to appreciate all that you have and treasure each moment, as there are no repeats. While this reminder applies year-round, this season makes it especially meaningful. Reach out to someone who might be struggling—a call, a text, or a message can make all the difference, letting them know they’re not alone. And above all, remember: whenever you have the chance, be kind.

🎉 Today, my husband Emanur Rahman and I are celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary 🎉. Together, we’ve navigated: 🏡🏡 house moves 👧🏽🧒🏽 amazing kids, and 🗄🗄🗄🗄🗄🗄🗄 businesses What's our secret? Well, we’ve always made it a priority to pause for breath, take stock and regularly re-evaluate our goals in life....That might sound a bit over the top, but we actually do this! We have to keep up with how we're evolving as individuals and as partners as we move through life and all that it brings. Open communication, of course, has been key, ensuring that we can always ask for what we need at each stage of our journey. In many ways, relationships are just like businesses, don’t you think? They need constant reassessment. Without regular check-ins and open dialogue, things can become stagnant, barriers can form and ultimately they can break down. Emanur definitely has his work cut out, as I am always reinventing myself or my businesses. Fun fact: I was once dubbed the ‘Madonna of Accountancy’ 👩🏻🎤 - constantly evolving, and with Boodl, I'm clearly still at it! As long as we keep the doors to communication open and, as Madonna says, ‘Express Yourself’ 😜, then everything will be just fine. Here's to 26 years of love, growth and endless reinvention! 💕 #ExpressYourself #WeddingAnniversary #OpenCommunication

Hey LinkedIn fam! 🌟 Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone! 🇺🇸 Whether you're kicking back with a BBQ or catching some rays at the beach, I hope you're enjoying every moment with your loved ones. But let's take a quick pause to remember what this day is all about – honoring the brave men and women who have served our country with unwavering courage and dedication. Their sacrifices allow us to live the lives we love, and for that, we are forever grateful. 🙏 Now, let's chat about something near and dear to my heart – family businesses. 💼 Memorial Day isn't just about fireworks and fun; it's also the perfect time to reflect on the importance of family businesses and well-being. Here's why I think Memorial Day is the best part of the year for family business and well-being: 1 Family Bonding: Memorial Day brings families together, and what better time to celebrate the unity and strength of family businesses? 2 Reflecting on Values: It's a chance to reflect on the values that drive our family businesses and how they contribute to our well-being. 3 Gratitude and Growth: Expressing gratitude for our team members and recognizing their contributions fosters a positive work environment and promotes growth. 4 Work-Life Balance: Memorial Day reminds us to prioritize work-life balance and take time to recharge with our loved ones. As we honor our heroes and celebrate the spirit of family, let's also celebrate the resilience and dedication of our family businesses. Here's to making memories, cherishing moments, and building a brighter future together! 🎉 And hey, if you're up for a chat about business, brainstorming ideas, or just connecting with a fellow LinkedIn enthusiast, I'm all ears! Let's connect and see how we can support each other's endeavors. 🚀
