It's military Taps time, Christmas eve. (9:00PM every night- it signals the end of the day and to pay respect to the fallen). Let us never forget the sacrifices made by our prior and current military for us this (and EVERY) holiday season. #soldiersnightbeforechristmas

November is Military and Veteran Family Month Our military families make sacrifices, too! https://lnkd.in/gk-CG2X9 While the sacrifices made and hardships endured by our service members are well-documented, a related aspect that many people may not think about as often are the sacrifices made and hardships endured by military families as well. Maintaining a family in the civilian world is challenging enough, and military families may also face additional, unique challenges, such as frequent moves from base to base, having a loved one deployed for months on end, or dealing with long-term physical and/or emotional wounds, that can make the task of maintaining a family seem almost overwhelming. Freedom is not Free...
On the coast of Normandy, on the bluffs above Omaha Beach, sits the American Military Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. Underneath its beautifully manicured lawns rest the remains of 9,380 soldiers, sailors and airmen, most of whom lost their lives during and shortly after the D-Day invasion of 6 June 1944. 80 years later, I wonder if America is deserving of such sacrifice. #freedomisnotfree #greatestgeneration

80 years ago today, the final stages of WWII and the end of a terrible regime began. Over 7,000 allied ships operated by almost 200,000 naval personnel were dispatched to disgorge around 150,000 men onto the beaches of Normandy. By the end of the month, more than 850,000 troops, almost 150,000 vehicles and 1,140,000,000 pounds of supplies and ammunition were sent to those same beaches. Of the 4,414 Allied troops killed on D-Day, 2,501 were Americans. More than 5,000 were wounded. In the ensuing Battle of Normandy, 73,000 Allied forces were killed and 153,000 wounded. Some gave everything, and those sacrifices shaped the world balance in favor of the Allies and made the world we inhabit today possible. Take 2 minutes, quietly reflect on the folks that made that ultimate sacrifice that made your world possible. Take 2 more and think about how you yourself might be able to contribute to making the world a better place. #carpediem

The Saxon Shore (Latin: litus Saxonicum) was a military command of the Late Roman Empire, consisting of a series of fortifications on both sides of the Channel. It was established in the late 3rd century and was led by the “Count of the Saxon Shore”. In the late 4th century, his functions were limited to Britain, while the fortifications in Gaul were established as separate commands. Several well-preserved Saxon Shore forts survive in east and south-east England. https://lnkd.in/gKqhP5KG

This is how an enemy can take over a country without lifting a finger and without any apparent war. All they need is a self-destructive government that allows: -Changing the national anthem -Taking down statues of the Founding Fathers -Burning historic buildings and churches -Renaming places built by those who shaped the lives we live today -Attacking synagogues -Imposing a sense of guilt on the people, especially the children, for what their ancestors may or may not have done -Destroying the nation's wealth by neglecting monetary policy -Compelling speech -Etc, etc. All of this is done under the guise of "compassion," "inclusiveness," "equity," and other trendy words. Canada needs a patriotic leader and a strong military capable of defending this nation—one that doesn’t crumble over mere words or take offence at the choice of music. Canadians must wake up, give up the illusion of comfort and safety, and stand up against this madness. #cdnpoli #cpc_hq
MP for Carleton, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, and running to be Prime Minister of Canada
More woke nonsense erasing Canada's proud military history and traditions. Meanwhile NDP-Liberals have been asleep at the switch refusing to supply our armed forces with the equipment and supplies they need to defend Canada at home and abroad. When I’m Prime Minister, we will have a warrior culture, not a woke culture. https://lnkd.in/gfxGYN5J

In the Crucible of Decision: Judgment is the Ultimate Virtue Although the Founding Fathers were concerned about the dangers posed by a standing army, they would recognize the necessity of having one in today’s complex global environment. They would also insist that the military reflect and uphold the Constitution's core values. Like the government it serves, the U.S. military must be bound by ethical standards that promote the greatest good for all and are consistent with virtuous action. As long as the U.S. remains a democracy, the military must maintain the profession's highest ethical and legal standards to protect and defend the Constitution, the Republic, and the American way of life. https://lnkd.in/eBiRaPS2
