Barry Butler’s Post

Are you wondering how long you should warm up your car before driving it in the winter? AutoZone recommends 30 seconds of idling before driving and then driving the car for a few minutes to warm it up. Interestingly, normal driving for 5-10 minutes actually warms up your car faster than idling. Remember to clear your windshield before hitting the road! #winterdrivingtips #autotips

Great tip Barry - these guidelines are also useful in milder climates and really all year long the older your car gets or the longer it’s been since the last time you’ve driven it. It’s all about making sure all the engine’s inner areas with moving parts are lubed up!
