VEV has some tough competition with some great products being showcased in the Innovation Challenge. The #CleanBusesExpo hosted by Global Mass Transit is on Wednesday this week. VEV will have a stand with Marcelo Cabral Soares, Warren Engall and myself, whilst my colleague, Simon Cubitt, will be on a panel moderated by David Barnett from Translink, will be sharing our learnings from helping Tootbus electrify their depot in London and Kent County Council as they electrify their BRT. Halfway through the Confederation of Passenger Transport Traffic Commissioner evening and had 2 excellent and informative presentations. After 18 months out of the tyre industry it was really interesting to hear the issues that Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) see with the condition of tyres. It still amazes me that drivers and / or operators send vehicles out in any industry let alone the passenger transport industry with tyres in poor condition.

I will be attending the #CleanBusesUK Expo, organised by Global Mass Transit on October 9th. My colleague Simon Cubitt will be sharing insights from some recent projects involving the leaders in #GreenTourism in London, Tootbus, as well our work to electrify one of the biggest BRT systems in the UK, with Kent County Council and their installation of pantograph chargers.
