NOTHING IS " IMPOSSIBLE" TO ACCOMPLISH ! Simply because, I can learn by listening and recalling whatever I hear, see and/or read IRRESPECTIVE of person, place, subject, trade or circumstances that I pass by or with!
To accept and appreciate the wrong pronunciation / accent for the Spoken English Learners from the beginning is the right and the most effective method to teach and learn English to speak rapidly and fluently! Because the accent or right pronunciation issue of teaching or training culture in language learning is in fact the prime cause to create shyness, fear and disappointment among the learners and ultimately destroy their desire and dream to learn speak English and it also true for the learners of any other foreign languages are taught through English! Whereas the more languages a person will learn, the more that person could beyond the border without barrier! Again the more languages a person if be learnt; the more knowledge, wisdom, informative, competent and sensible / smart Leader would that person be!

What can TV shows and movies teach us about conflict in family businesses? A lot! Marco Mismetti visited my D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University family business class yesterday ("Examining Family Business Dynamics Through Film") to help us analyze families in shows like The Godfather, Bob's Burgers and CAKE BOSS SA and to teach the class about effective conflict management. Thank you Marco for a great day! I look forward to working together on our conflict in family businesses research! #entrepreneurshipeducation #familybusiness
Fun time yesterday with Kimberly Eddleston at Northeastern University! In addition to discussing research projects together, I had the pleasure of attending one of her classes on movies and family business (so cool!), presenting my insights on conflict in the family business, and engaging with her students. Thank you for having me, Kim. Looking forward to another visit soon!

Doesn’t it feel like all we talk about these days is AI? It tops every agenda now – from Davos to Dayton. Yes, we need to take it seriously and prepare: jobs will go away and many more will change – but how? As technology does more of the work on our behalf – for better or worse – distinctly human capabilities like creativity, critical thinking, clarity of expression, and caring for human experience will increasingly become the “hard” skills. Are we ready? Thanks to Michael Elliott and Emily Cameron Griffen for having me back to Amherst College (seriously, twist my arm…) to share a perspective on how a Liberal Arts education will prepare today's students for leadership in the future – in careers, yes – and also in life and as citizens of an increasingly complex society.
At the first-ever Sophomore Summit, Anne-Claire C. Roesch '08 spoke to the class of 2026 about the value of the liberal arts for their future careers and lives. She joined President Elliott for Between 2 Mammoths to talk about what she shared with the students and her continued involvement with the College as an alumna. 📹: Marcus DeMaio / Office of Communications
