Stroke patients will benefit from quicker and more accurate treatment thanks to a state-of-the-art scanner at The Royal London Hospital🥳🙌 Using cutting-edge technology, the Philips biplane angiogram machine will provide clinicians with clearer and more detailed images of blood clots which cause strokes, while using less radiation, improving patient outcomes and experience. The biplane is the first of its kind in the UK and will further bolster the hospital’s 24/7 mechanical thrombectomy service, which has treated more patients than any other hospital since its inception in 2020. This round-the-clock service has prevented hundreds of stroke patients from suffering serious brain damage, with nearly half of patients treated at the Royal London regaining full independence following their procedure within 90 days. https://lnkd.in/ee3rDiC2
Congratulations! Looks great!
So… cool to see this happen. Our colleagues in interventional neuro radiology are pushing boundaries with state of the art tech and at scale. A great exemplar at RLH for the NHS.
Great news!!!
That’s great as long as they don’t have to wait in a filthy A&E department for four hours only to be told by a junior doctor it might be a TIA when in fact it was diagnosed as a stroke at another hospital. Experience of a 51 year old relative of mine this week!
Any openings in your company
I pray I can be seen at this place If I have another Tia as it’s scary 🙏
Healthcare innovation at it’s best.
Looks great

2moThe Royal London, and our wider interventional radiology service, are deploying world leading practice to make sure more patients recover faster. I’m really proud to be part of a system doing such great things for our vibrant, diverse population that suffers a lot of deprivation. Amongst the many stories of real challenge in the NHS seeing this sort of innovation provides real hope and optimism. NHS North East London
