Hello LinkedIn Community, I want to share something that happened recently, which made me think about my career. I'm sharing this to be open about my experiences, not to blame or embarrass anyone. This post isn't about arguing over my salary or blaming anyone; it's about explaining the accusations against me. My recent role was as a Sales Executive at Pro MD Solutions LLC, where I worked for approximately 6 months. In mid-September, my entire team, including the CRM, was laid off abruptly without prior notification or apparent reason. It was challenging as we all had families to support and new jobs to secure. We were told that we would receive our salaries for September. However, there was an additional condition in my case – I had to visit the office because the IT team had discovered some personal elements on my computer. I complied with the request, making multiple attempts to visit the office and contacting the CEO and GM. Finally, we met yesterday, where I learned the reason behind this additional step. I had left my Gmail account on the office computer, which I had used during my previous employment at LAL Technologies & CareCloud, where I worked as an insurance coordinator and sales executive. The IT team accessed my personal password list and found credentials for insurance portals, EMR systems, and other healthcare-related stuff, many of which I don't even know working till now. Given my five years of experience in the same industry, it's natural that my account contained such information. While using my Gmail account was my mistake, I question whether it justifies withholding a month's salary. The accusation against me is that I was engaged in suspicious activities, including fraud against the company and working for another provider, billing them during office hours. This raises important questions: If these actions were taking place, why wasn't I caught by my manager, team, or colleagues while I was in the office? I provided every possible justification and explanation, but it seemed a decision had already been made to withhold my salary. I would have appreciated their honesty if the company had been upfront about their inability to pay me. In such a case, there would have been no misleading hope. However, what deeply troubles me is that they summoned me to the office and accused me of fraud without substantiating evidence. It was very tough for me emotionally. I asked them to check my history and see how committed I'd been to all my previous employers, but again, the decision had already been made. Losing a month's salary is one thing, but being accused of something I never intended to do is deeply hurtful. It's a reminder that, despite our best intentions, we can face unforeseen challenges in our professional lives. open dialogue can lead to positive change. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and I'm grateful for the support of this beautiful LinkedIn community. Regards, Basim Sheikh
