I help protect business to stay compliant for public health issues with pests such as: rodents, birds and wildlife.
This is a roller shutter door for a client's sound stage. Feral pigeons had been roosting at night above the door and leaving quite a mess in the morning for staff to walk through! We were asked to provide a solution to solve this issue. In this instance, we decontaminated the guano and installed bird gel on the ledge the birds were using. As a low-profile product, it cannot be seen from the ground. The science behind it is a multi-sensory repellent that acts on the pigeon’s senses (sight, smell and touch) without causing them any harm. Rather than acting as a physical barrier, it alters pigeons’ behaviour so that they no longer perceive this habitat as safe. It is not a replacement for traditional bird spikes, but can be effective in situations like this one to deter birds and be unobtrusive to humans. Each bird can sense and react to the movements of other birds within a fixed radius around it. 🔴Behavior Rules: Chazelle's analysis assumes that each bird adjusts its flight velocity and position based on the positions and velocities of nearby birds.
