#tbt Completed in 2007, the Cloister Hotel on Sea Island, Ga., is a 245,484-square-foot, five-star hotel features Spanish/European architectural style with unique wood timber framing, millwork, and stone. A stained glass and stone surround, fireplace and related surround, and exterior detailed window from the Spanish Lounge, as well as the tiled floor and tiled fountain from the River House, were salvaged and reused from the historical Cloister Hotel, which opened in 1926. Some of the features included 32 luxury suites with their own theme and style, meeting/ballroom, prefunction room, restaurants, state-of-the-art culinary facility, and solariumBatson-Cook’s excellence in project management and use of innovative construction techniques and materials earned this project the 2007 Build Georgia Award from the Georgia Branch Associated General Contractors of America. #throwbackthursday #batsoncook #hospitality #hospitalityconstruction https://lnkd.in/gtRaneA8
