Lightning Minerals Ltd (ASX:L1M) has kicked off a 7,500-metre aircore drilling campaign at the E63/2000 tenement in the Dundas region of Western Australia, targeting multiple sample areas that returned greater than 100 parts per million (ppm) #lithium. The company will focus drilling on identified lithium, rubidium and caesium soil anomalies that graded up to 218 ppm lithium, trending northwest to southeast over a 2.6-kilometre by 1-kilometre area within the tenement. Encouragingly, the tenement sits just 8 kilometres east of Liontown Resources’ Buldania project, which already holds a mineral resource estimate of 14.9 million tonnes at 1% lithium oxide. Accelerate Resources Limited (ASX:AX8) CEO Luke Meter sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss the company’s first drilling campaign at the Prinsep Lithium Project near Karratha in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia. Drilling follows surface sampling indicating lithium mineralisation up to 1.68% Li2O. The maiden program will involve 48 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes totalling 3,500 metres, targeting pegmatite discoveries over a 1,500-metre strike and widths up to 60 metres. The drilling is expected to be completed by the end of June, with samples sent in batches for assaying, which will have a turnaround time of about six weeks. According to Meter, this marks a significant milestone for the company as it targets lithium mineralisation down dip of outcropping mineralisation and new pegmatite sets hidden by cover. Arrow Exploration Corp. (TSX-V:AXL, AIM:AXL, OTC:CSTPF) told investors it has spud of the CNB HZ-1 well, its first horizontal well at the Tapir project in Colombia. The well is targeting the Ubaque formation, following up previous wells in the area earlier this year. The CNB HZ-1 well will be drilled down to a vertical depth of 8,400 feet, with a horizontal length of 1,800 feet. Arrow expects to bring the well online for production in June. Chief executive Marshall Abbott highlighted that horizontal wells are expected to deliver “a step change” in production and they will be “transformative” for the company. "Spudding Arrow's first horizontal well at the CNB pad is a significant milestone in Arrow's development plan for the hydrocarbon-dense Ubaque reservoir,” Abbott said in a statement. Arrow Exploration Corp. (TSX-V:AXL, AIM:AXL, OTC:CSTPF) has updated on its operations in Colombia where, in the Tapir block, it has advanced the CN-4 and CN-5 wells. The company, holding a 50% interest in the project, told investors that the CN-4 well has been drilled to a depth of 9,552 feet, targeted the Ubaque formation, and encountered 29 feet of true vertical depth net oil pay. Initial production rates measured 758 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) gross. At CN-5, where drilling targeted the Carrizales Noroeste prospect, the well reached a depth of 9,050 feet, and identified 45 feet of oil pay. These targets can be evaluated and potentially upgraded to mineral resources with additional infill and exploration #drilling. The ETE across the BMF is in addition to the Global Mineral Resources totalling 314 Mt at 10.5% manganese containing 33.1 Mt of Mn at a cut-off of 7% Mn. BOA Resources (ASX:BOA) ended the June quarter with $2 million in cash and no debt leaving the company well-funded to achieve its planned activities, including four tenement drilling campaigns in 2024 focused on #lithium and #nickel discoveries. In its quarterly, company management said, “During the period, BOA has sold its $306,551 shareholding in Trigg Minerals Ltd. The sale reflects BOA’s strategic decision to divest its holdings in TMG and provides BOA with additional capital to advance its core exploration projects. “The shareholding in TMG was part of the consideration paid by TMG when buying a 90% interest in four Queensland tenements from BOA in Q1. BOA is free carried by TMG for its remaining 10% interest in the four tenements..." Preliminary rock sampling conducted in December as part of the acquisition due diligence revealed highly anomalous levels of tantalum (390 ppm maximum) and niobium (82 ppm maximum) as reported in the ASX release on January 17, 2024. The results combined with the anomalous historical soil samples require follow up exploration including a tenement wide soil geochemical survey and a targeted rock sampling campaign.
