#politics #sustainability #nobelprize Why US defense depending is as high as it is in the chart, which other countries can never catch up with: 1. The paradigmatic relationship between war and economic prosperity, in particular English, since the mid-16th century beginning of the Elizabethan Age of British global colonial expansion by piracy, stealing from others to fill your coffers using war and trade as weapons, after the defeat of the Spanish Armada in the English Channel, well before Adam Smith observed it in the Wealth of Nations in 1776, the same year the United States was founded. Dwight David Eisenhower called out the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) in his Farewell Address in 1961. 2. European stability abiding by American racial cultural sensibilities given the country’s predominantly European ethnic heritage, though this is balanced with retaining U.S. geopolitical dominance including over the British and the European continent. Both of the above, however, are causes of concern for both the United States and the world looking to the future. Neither should the United States follow the example of Rome to ensue US global dominance and, therefore, be paternalistic toward the rest of the world to advance its interests by trading military protection for loyalty to the United States nor should the rest of the world expect to continue to keep America at the center to ensure its well being. America is a fundamentally different country in its founding values rooted in Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount despite it being largely ethnically European in demographics, and the protection of the American founding overrides all other considerations in foreign policy. Thomas Jefferson’s Separation of Church and State articulated in his letter to the Danbury Baptists which founded the United States by keeping peace among various Protestant Christian denominations in the original 13 states also works for all the world’s faiths. It is the essential Christian values in the Sermon on the Mount, not the religious rituals of the faith, that are consistent with all the major world faiths to ensure peaceful coexistence. It is in protecting the universal Christian values in the Sermon on the Mount in society, politics, and economics, also at the core of Adam Smith, the future of humanity shall both be redeemed and secured by changing the paradigm of the modus operandi of species perpetuation in geopolitics from war with each other and over nature to ending this Hobbesian war for good.
