Just as our furry friends, like Smith and Mack, come in different shapes, sizes, and looks, humans inhabit uniquely diverse bodies, too! Why, then, do we often impose a singular standard of beauty or look for a sport on ourselves, leading to restrictive diets, rigid exercise, and unnecessary shame? Let's imagine for a moment – would we ever consider starving Smith to meet Mack’s size? Absolutely not! So why do we subject ourselves to the unrealistic pressures of conforming our bodies to how we weren’t created? Genetically, I am built like a linebacker (Thanks to my dad mostly) and will never look like a wide receiver or cross-country runner. Could I be good at those sports built differently if I work and train at it? But I might never have that “look.” Like Smith and Mack, your body has its own blueprint for feeling safe, happy, and healthy. Our bodies are genetically built differently, often for purposes and reasons. Trying to force it into a different mold can lead to resistance and fighting for survival. It's time to celebrate the diversity in sports and challenge the notion that there's a singular "look" for each game. Whether you're a marathon runner with powerful thighs or a gymnast with incredible flexibility – your uniqueness adds vibrancy to the sport and should be celebrated! Finding the right way to exercise and reach your goals post military service can be challenging.😵💫 Even more so with the amount of BS that is on social media. 🙄 Is HIIT The Best Cardio Protocol for fat-loss? 🤔 HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training has been around for ages. 💪 You will see many influencers and coaches worship HIIT like it is the golden ticket.😑 So is this lady correct? Well if we look at the evidence. Like this Meta Analysis that reviewed 13 studies and showed no difference in body composition. 🤷 You see the afterburn effect known as EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) is overrated. 👀 Now while HIIT is a tool in our toolbag we can use, it’s not for everyone.⚠️ Yes it’s great for someone who is short on time.✅ But, if you're severely overweight and you are deconditioned then it’s probably not the best for you.👎 As always you should find a workout style that you enjoy and can be consistent with. 🤗 Because that breeds long term results. #fatloss #fatlossjourney #exercise #motivation #gymlife #healthylifestyle #wellbeing #mentalhealth #performance #dothework #mindset #weightloss #veteran #onlinecoach
