"Service personnel from one nation will be supported by capabilities that have been developed across all three nations.” In a significant landmark for #AUKUS, the three nations have trialled a futuristic integration of #autonomy and #artificialintelligence (#AI) for the first time. Testing saw the deployment of a series of AI-enabled uncrewed aerial vehicles that allow a human operator to locate, disable and destroy targets on the ground. This ground-breaking exercise, which included partners and our experts, is the first use of autonomy and AI sensing systems in a real-time military environment #AIinAction https://lnkd.in/gjjaC3gr UK Ministry of Defence Department for Science, Innovation and Technology Rachel Singleton Defence AI Centre (DAIC) Steven Meers
No mention of ZODIAC?
Fantastic
Great to see

2moProud that BlueBear - A Saab Company delivered the UK part of these landmark #AUKUS trials. The exercise saw 25% of Bluebear’s agile systems integration and flight operations team deployed to sunny California for a month. Together with Dstl and US and Australian counterparts, we flight demonstrated AI-enabled autonomous swarms using our Redkite and Ghost UAVs, open architecture SmartConnect avionics and CENTURION mission system. This capability has taken thousands of hours of flight testing over the years to mature (yes, that is what it takes…!) but, by golly, we are so proud to showcase the power of networked sensors and effectors. Thank you Dstl
