Sometimes going out to external agencies for hiring isn't the right thing for the business. I know shocking statement from a recruiter who works in an agency,But that's how we work. We always advise the hiring managers to look internally first before going out externally to hire the next role. For us it's always about what's best for the candidate and the business. Why would you go out external if someone in your company maybe able to do the role. If you have a process in place for each employee in your team you'll know what their future aspirations are and what they are capable of. ✅ Monthly one to ones- talk about what they are doing and what they want to do in future ✅ Provide learning & development opportunties- which will support internal promotions ✅ Create an environment where it allows the employee to shadow/buddy up with other teams to help them grow ✅ Build trust-talk about possible business changes that may affect their role ✅ Have an open door policy- employees should be comfortable enough to be able to tell you what's working for them, what isn't and where you can help When you promote from within, there's a reason for you to go out and say 'we are hiring because X has been promoted'. It shows that you care about the growth of your employees. Even better, don't make them jump through hoops and give them the progression they deserve. In turn your employees will talk about you in a positive way, which helps your reputation in the market as a 'great employer'. #opportunties #internal #promotions
