Scholarship applications are about connecting with the right fit. Here's the problem: Most applicants write their essays: -With a focus solely on achievements -Trying to impress with grandiose statements -Neglecting the essence of personal connection Instead, craft your application: -To resonate with the scholarship committee -Highlight your genuine passion and goals -Paint a vivid picture of why you're the perfect match Then deliver an application that shines. And give the committee a memorable experience. No point in showcasing your achievements if they don't see the person behind them. Your application is a filter. Use it wisely. ↓ P.s. Embarking on my college journey, I've laid out a detailed plan to ensure I make the most of each semester. Here’s how I plan it. My first semester is all about adjusting to college life and focusing on my GPA. I’ll be dedicating myself to understanding the academic environment and developing effective study habits. Getting accustomed to college routines while ensuring that I maintain a strong GPA is my primary goal. In my second semester, I’ll continue to focus on improving my GPA. Additionally, I’ll start building relationships with peers, professors, and campus communities. Networking and creating connections will help me integrate into college life and set the stage for future opportunities. By the third semester, I aim to maintain my GPA while mastering my chosen major. I’ll start participating in college organizations or student activity units (UKM) to broaden my campus experience. This semester, I’ll also begin exploring scholarship opportunities to support my academic journey. In my fourth semester, I’ll keep up the effort to maintain a high GPA and explore off-campus organizations or volunteer opportunities. Engaging in activities outside the campus will allow me to gain broader experiences and contribute to the community. The fifth semester is dedicated to seeking internships and exploring exchange programs like IISMA. Gaining practical experience through internships will be crucial for my career development, while exchange programs will enrich my academic and cultural perspectives. 6th Semester This semester, my focus will shift to preparing for my thesis and internships. I’ll start planning and organizing my thesis research and internships, ensuring that I’m well-prepared for the challenges ahead. Writing reports and gathering data will be key activities during this time. In the seventh semester, I’ll dive deep into composing my thesis. This will involve rigorous research, writing, and revisions. My goal is to make significant progress on my thesis and stay on track to complete it by the end of the semester. In my final semester, I’ll aim to elevate my GPA even further while leveraging the experience gained from internships. Completing my thesis and finishing all remaining courses will be my top priorities. This semester will be about synthesizing my academic and practical experiences into a strong finish to my college journey. Each semester is a step toward achieving my academic and career goals. By focusing on GPA, building connections, engaging in extracurricular activities, and gaining practical experience, I’m setting myself up for a successful and fulfilling college experience. #HIMATEKTROITS #OKKBKELEKTROITS2024 #LifePlandiITS Izza Muhammad Hanif Surya Alam

Honors in Development communication | Emerging scholar | You can call me "Dr. Tsholo" | Sustainable development
🌟 **Reflecting on My Last Days at the NWU Bursary Office Internship** 🌟 As I approach the final days of my internship at the NWU Bursary Office, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey I've had over the past few months. This experience has not only enhanced my professional skills but has also deepened my understanding of the vital role that financial support plays in empowering students to achieve their educational goals. During my time here, I've had the opportunity to work alongside a passionate team dedicated to ensuring that every deserving student has access to the resources they need. From processing applications to conducting outreach initiatives, each task has taught me the importance of attention to detail and the impact of clear communication. Here are a few key takeaways that I believe can benefit anyone considering a career in student services or financial aid: 1. **Empathy is Essential**: Understanding the challenges students face when it comes to funding their education allows us to provide the best support possible. A little compassion goes a long way! 2. **Collaboration is Key**: Working as part of a dedicated team has shown me the value of collaboration. By sharing ideas and resources, we can create innovative solutions that make a real difference. 3. **Continuous Learning**: The world of financial aid is ever-changing, and staying informed about the latest policies and funding opportunities is crucial. Lifelong learning is not just a motto; it's a necessity in this field. 4. **Celebrate Successes**: Every funded student is a success story waiting to happen! Celebrating these moments inspires us to continue our work with renewed passion and purpose. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the NWU Bursary Office team for their mentorship and support throughout my internship. I am excited to carry these experiences and lessons into the next chapter of my career. If you're considering an internship in a similar field, I highly encourage you to take the leap—it's an experience that will equip you with invaluable skills and insights! #InternshipJourney #NWUBursaryOffice #CareerGrowth #StudentSupport #Empowerment

Did you know? In 2022 we also diversified our product offering, expanding opportunities beyond volunteer or internship programs to include two new core products: a research fellowship and a professional apprenticeship. Our research fellowships allow participants to do more focused and rigorous research under the supervision of experienced and qualified academics at our hubs. Our professional apprenticeships allow participants who are serious about a career in conservation or social development to get real-world experience in a professional environment. We have also refashioned our programs for under-18s and school groups. It is core to our mission to encourage future generations to recognise the tangible ways that they can become influencers for good, develop a progressive multicultural perspective, and hone the skills needed to become tomorrow’s global citizens. Our programs immerse young participants in new cultures, communities and habitats, and incorporate learning exercises that encourage self-awareness, thoughtful engagement, leadership, collaboration and inclusivity. One of our core missions is to empower communities through impact research. In order to ensure that this research output meets international standards, is visible and accessible, and forms part of a larger global research network, we launched our Google Scholar profile in 2022. Here our research teams can publish their findings, co-author papers and present their findings. HR Services & Payroll Coordinator at NHS Resolution | Level 3 CIPD | Elevating Healthcare HR Efficiency
I recently found this old gem and it brought back a flood of memories. I remember the excitement, the nerves, and the endless studying that led up to that moment. It was all worth it when I received that unforgettable email confirmation from UCL, letting me know I was accepted to study Social Sciences in 2018. To everyone receiving their A-Level results today—congratulations on all your hard work! 🎓 Whether you got the results you wanted or not, remember that this is just one step in your journey. If you didn’t get into the university you had your heart set on, don’t be discouraged. This is an opportunity to regroup, refocus, and come back even stronger. University isn’t the only path to success. There are so many avenues available today—apprenticeships, internships, full-time employment, degree apprenticeships, and more. The possibilities are endless, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving your goals. Keep pushing forward, never give up, and remember that the journey is just as important as the destination. 💪 #ResultsDay2024 #NeverGiveUp #KeepGoing #Education #Alevels #SuccessBeyondUniversity

On 9th September 2024, the Department of Political Science, St. Joseph University, Chumoukedima in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) and NETRA Foundation conducted “SJU Conference 2024 on Skill Development and Internship” at St. Joseph University campus. The resource persons for the conference were Er. Alongse Sangtam, Joint Director & Mr. Menguzelie Suhu, Asst. Project Officer, Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of Nagaland. It was attended by Heads of the institutions and Convenor and members of Skill Development 8 educational institutions under three districts of Nagaland to serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and practices on the implementation and challenges faced by educational institutions on Skill development and internship under NEP 2020 framework. At the conference, all the attendees were divided into groups to discuss and explore the effective approaches to skill development and internship implementation within the institution to address the skills gap, internship opportunities, and how to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry. Representatives from each group in their presentation highlighted the nature of skill development and internships undertaken by institutions to enhance students’ employability and growth. However, they also shared the challenges faced by the institution for a robust implementation in the education sector such as structural constraints, lack of industry, socio-economic factors, limited internship-providing agencies, lack of financial resources, and time frame of the skill and internship program. To facilitate the group-wise discussion and queries, question and answer session with the resource persons was conducted as a part of the conference session. Based on the presentation and questions, the resource persons shared valuable insights and information on how the government has undertaken various projects with different institutions and agencies in promoting skill development to enhance employability, especially for youths by focusing on skill-building initiatives and internship programs. Furthermore, highlighted that skills are not static in today’s fast-paced and changing world, which therefore is important to adopt a growth mindset and actively seek out opportunities for skill development, whether it be through formal education, on-the-job training, or self-directed learning. Additionally, to address the skills gaps and foster a robust system, the resource persons, encouraged educational institutions to collaborate in setting up centers for skill development to ensure that courses are relevant, industry-aligned, and accessible to a diverse range of learners.
