Our preliminary results from the Ice Arena User Study are encouraging. Students overwhelmingly agreed that they feel a sense of belonging and connection at the University of Illinois Ice Arena. Even better, the Ice Arena is a place to reduce stress from academic life. Students love using the Open Skates the most, followed by KIN 104 Ice Skating Activities and recreational or club hockey. It is an honor to be a faculty member at College of Applied Health Sciences at Illinois and to support student sense of belonging while contributing to active lifestyle behaviors in KIN 104 Ice Skating Activities. It is a true joy to see students grow in confidence and find their own joy in learning. I encourage folks to check out the course for POT B Spring 2024 (registration is still open but sections are full or close to full). If you are unable to snag a spot for Spring POT B, make sure to keep it in mind for Fall 2024!
