This year Bayhealth’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) program comes full circle as its inaugural residency classes—the first residents at Bayhealth and in central and southern Delaware—graduate from their programs. The Family Medicine Residency Program held graduation festivities on June 21 at the Bayhealth Blue Hen Conference Center. Each of the seven graduating residents was individually honored, and many family members, friends and program staff were in attendance to join in this moment and celebrate their collective accomplishments. “Our program would not be what it is today without all the dedication, energy and innovative ideas that our inaugural residents have poured into this program since they began,” said Interim Family Medicine Residency Program Director Angela Debo, DO. “We are grateful for them and proud of the physicians they have become, and know they have very successful careers ahead of them.” We are proud to report that a number of the graduating residents will be staying at Bayhealth. Paulina McCabe, DO, and Kendall Barton, MD will continue caring for our community as the newest physicians to join the Bayhealth Primary Care, Milford and Bayhealth Primary Care, Blue Hen practices, respectively. The following graduates will pursue positions at other institutions: Tahseen Chowdhury, MD - Outpatient position in family medicine in Marlow Heights, Maryland Melissa Eppinger, MD - Private practice primary care physician at Vanguard Medical Group in Verona, New Jersey Samantha Ginder, DO – Attending physician at York Urgent Care in Lancaster, Pennsylvania Sameer Valluri, MD – Private practice at Howard Brown Health in Chicago, Illinois Congratulations and best wishes to all of our resident graduates!
