You are not the problem unless you are. One should not assume responsibility or blame for issues unless their actions or behavior directly contribute to the problem. It implies a sense of self-awareness and accountability, urging individuals to assess their role in a situation objectively. Essentially, it means not to take undue blame, but also not to shirk responsibility if one is indeed at fault. #GodDid #MarionBekoeQuotes #Quotes #QuoteOfTheDay #SelfAwareness #Accountability #Responsibility #OwnYourActions #MindfulLiving #ReflectAndGrow #TakeOwnership #PersonalGrowth #Introspection #SelfReflection

Sometimes, arrogance can be disguised as confidence, but it can quickly unravel and reveal insecurity. It's important to be real about our flaws and doubts, as it builds deeper trust and loyalty. Arrogance discourages questions and crushes innovation. Pursue audacious goals with zeal, but stay humble enough to recognize when you're wrong. The higher you climb, the deeper your roots in reality must grow to prevent being toppled by hubris. Aim for confidence without crossing over into arrogance. You're capable of great things without putting others down. That's the quiet confidence that transforms teams, organizations, and industries without leaving a trail of casualties. #confidence #humility #leadership

Signs That Show Your Ego is Too Big 1. Difficulty Accepting Constructive Criticism: If you find it challenging to accept constructive criticism or feedback from others without becoming defensive or angry, this could indicate that your ego is too big. A healthy ego allows you to take constructive feedback positively and use it for personal growth and improvement. #SelfAwareness #PersonalGrowth #ConstructiveFeedback #EgoCheck 2. Constantly Seeking Attention or Validation: If you are constantly seeking attention or validation from others, it may be a sign that your ego is overly inflated. A healthy ego is self-assured and doesn't rely on constant external validation. #Validation #SelfAssurance #HealthyEgo #AttentionSeeking 3. Sense of Entitlement: If you feel entitled to special treatment or privileges without having earned them, it's a strong indicator that your ego is too big. A healthy ego acknowledges that no one is inherently better or worse than anyone else and that everyone deserves equal respect and fair treatment. #Entitlement #RespectForAll #EgoAwareness #Equality

Ever been #interrupted #rudely in a meeting, when you #speak #up? I was part of a call today where I was putting forth my point. And before I could speak up, there was a #parallel #leader who cut me off mid-sentence and started speaking. Ignoring what I said. And because I was a #woman. #Interruption #bias is something which we all face. It usually happens when the leader is #biased, #non-#inclusive and #arrogant. How do you combat that? - #You #shut #up and let the #conversation flow: Don’t indulge with #bullies. That’s one way to go if you want to maintain peace. - But if you are like me who fights back, then you politely point it out “Please let me complete my point before speaking” and continue the conversation. They interrupt you, you interrupt back. - You allow them to #complete. And then say “Thank you for providing your opinion on my viewpoint, now I would like to continue…” Don’t let them get to you. Stand tall. - Don’t take it to #heart. Easier said than done. When a person interrupts, it speaks more of their personality than yours. We preach #inclusivity and #equitable opinions on the table. But do we #practice it? High time, we #start. #linkedln #connections #interruption #leadershipprinciples #noninclusive #bias #woman #workplace #opinion #culture

Actions speak louder than words. 🌟 Have you ever noticed that those who treat others poorly often expect to be treated differently? They prioritize transactional relationships over genuine connections, believing power lies in possessions and titles, and resort to blame rather than ever being accountable. Over and over again, the same patterns. But what legacy are they leaving behind? If their children witnessed their behavior, would they perpetuate the same cycle or break away in disgust? I hope the latter. And if you fell into their sticky web, and acted as they did, would your family be delighted to see what you’ve become? Probably not. Remember, how you treat people defines your legacy, shaping not just the present but also the future. Your future. Choosing to live without empathy, accountability and respect is a dangerous mode that never turns out well in the end. Big YES below for living the right way. Not that way. 👇 #Leadership #LegacyBuilding #hint #verlinvest #undaunted #truth #legacy #empathy #kindnessmatters #treatingpeopleright #ActionsSpeakLouder

What’s behind what you do and give? Give and do because of who you are, not because of how others may or may not respond. Sadly, should you base acts on anticipated reactions, you'll likely be disappointed, and minimally, you will be a calculating human being. CRITICISM definition: 1. the act of saying that something or someone is bad or a comment that says what is bad about it... People who overachieve seldom criticise others. Criticising others is a psychological default mode that allows you to avoid taking personal accountability. And when you criticise others, you do not have to accept personal responsibility for your own underachievement. Put a positive spin on your tongue today and praise and lift up those around you. Be the overachiever... and be the change you want to see. #veteranshelpingveterans #successstory
